After the Lord had said these things to Job, he said to Eliphaz the Temanite,“ I am angry with you and your two friends, because you have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has.

Then was kindled the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram: against Job was his wrath kindled, because he justified himself rather than God.Also against his three friends was his wrath kindled, because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.

But oh that God would speak, And open his lips against thee,And that he would show thee the secrets of wisdom! For he is manifold in understanding. Know therefore that God exacteth of thee less than thine iniquity deserveth.

Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, And done that which is evil in thy sight; That thou mayest be justified when thou speakest, And be clear when thou judgest.

Now when Job’s three friends heard of all this evil that was come upon him, they came every one from his own place: Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite; and they made an appointment together to come to bemoan him and to comfort him.

And when Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, his wrath was kindled.

Then answered Eliphaz the Temanite, and said,
