As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy.

The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.

And Isaac sowed in that land and reaped in the same year a hundredfold. The Lord blessed him,and the man became rich, and gained more and more until he became very wealthy.He had possessions of flocks and herds and many servants, so that the Philistines envied him.

Behold, we consider those blessed who remained steadfast. You have heard of the steadfastness of Job, and you have seen the purpose of the Lord, how the Lord is compassionate and merciful.

who fed you in the wilderness with manna that your fathers did not know, that he might humble you and test you, to do you good in the end.

may our granaries be full, providing all kinds of produce; may our sheep bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our fields;may our cattle be heavy with young, suffering no mishap or failure in bearing; may there be no cry of distress in our streets!Blessed are the people to whom such blessings fall! Blessed are the people whose God is the Lord!
