Unleash the fury of your wrath, look at all who are proud and bring them low,

Let loose your great anger. Look at those who are proud and bring them low.

Pour out the overflowings of your anger, and look on everyone who is proud and abase him.

Give vent to your anger. Let it overflow against the proud.

Pour out your raging anger; look on every proud person and humiliate him.

Let out your outbursts of anger, And look at everyone who is arrogant, and humble him.

Disperse the rage of your wrath; Look on everyone who is proud, and humble him.

Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works[ are] truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.

The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.For the day of the LORD of hosts[ shall be] upon every[ one that is] proud and lofty, and upon every[ one that is] lifted up; and he shall be brought low:

And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.

Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him.

But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him:And he was driven from the sons of men; and his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling[ was] with the wild asses: they fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven; till he knew that the most high God ruled in the kingdom of men, and[ that] he appointeth over it whomsoever he will.And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thine heart, though thou knewest all this;But hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou, and thy lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou hast praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know: and the God in whose hand thy breath[ is], and whose[ are] all thy ways, hast thou not glorified:

For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee, thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation[ is] high; that saith in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground?Though thou exalt[ thyself] as the eagle, and though thou set thy nest among the stars, thence will I bring thee down, saith the LORD.

Cast forth lightning, and scatter them: shoot out thine arrows, and destroy them.

But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

He cast upon them the fierceness of his anger, wrath, and indignation, and trouble, by sending evil angels[ among them].He made a way to his anger; he spared not their soul from death, but gave their life over to the pestilence;

And the people gave a shout,[ saying, It is] the voice of a god, and not of a man.And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.

But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;

I tell you, this man went down to his house justified[ rather] than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all[ of you] be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

For[ God] shall cast upon him, and not spare: he would fain flee out of his hand.

Now I know that the LORD[ is] greater than all gods: for in the thing wherein they dealt proudly[ he was] above them.

For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.

Thy right hand, O LORD, is become glorious in power: thy right hand, O LORD, hath dashed in pieces the enemy.

[ When] he is about to fill his belly,[ God] shall cast the fury of his wrath upon him, and shall rain[ it] upon him while he is eating.

Wherefore it shall come to pass,[ that] when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks.For he saith, By the strength of my hand I have done[ it], and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant[ man]:And my hand hath found as a nest the riches of the people: and as one gathereth eggs[ that are] left, have I gathered all the earth; and there was none that moved the wing, or opened the mouth, or peeped.Shall the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith?[ or] shall the saw magnify itself against him that shaketh it? as if the rod should shake[ itself] against them that lift it up,[ or] as if the staff should lift up[ itself, as if it were] no wood.Therefore shall the Lord, the Lord of hosts, send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory he shall kindle a burning like the burning of a fire.And the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame: and it shall burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day;And shall consume the glory of his forest, and of his fruitful field, both soul and body: and they shall be as when a standardbearer fainteth.And the rest of the trees of his forest shall be few, that a child may write them.

Therefore he hath poured upon him the fury of his anger, and the strength of battle: and it hath set him on fire round about, yet he knew not; and it burned him, yet he laid[ it] not to heart.

Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart[ is] lifted up, and thou hast said, I[ am] a God, I sit[ in] the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou[ art] a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:

And in very deed for this[ cause] have I raised thee up, for to shew[ in] thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.As yet exaltest thou thyself against my people, that thou wilt not let them go?
