原来神用这个方法或那个方法说了，只是，世人没有留意。世人都在床上打盹，沉睡临到他们的时候，神用异梦与夜间的异象，告诉他们，他坚定他们所得的训诲，

耶和华神使那人沉睡。他熟睡的时候，耶和华神取了他的一根肋骨，又使肉在原处复合。

日落的时候，亚伯兰沉沉地睡着了，忽然有可怕的大黑暗落在他身上。

我却仍听见他说话的声音；我一听见他说话的声音，就沉睡了，脸伏在地。

他和我说话的时候，我沉睡了，脸伏在地；他触摸我，使我站起来。

只有一位在天上的神能把一切隐秘的事显明；他已经把日后将要发生的事告诉你尼布甲尼撒王了。你的梦和你躺在床上时脑海中出现的异象就是这样：王啊！你躺在床上时，想到日后将要发生的事，那显明隐秘事的神就把将要发生的事向你说明了。

神在夜间的异象中对以色列说：“雅各，雅各。”雅各说：“我在这里。”

现在请你们今夜也住在这里，等我得知耶和华还要向我说什么。”当夜，神来到巴兰那里，对他说：“这些人既然来请你，你就起程与他们同去，但是你只要遵行我吩咐你的事。”

耶和华说：“现在你们要听我的话，如果你们中间有先知，我耶和华必在异象中向他显现，在梦中与他说话。

他作了一个梦，梦见一个梯子立在地上，梯顶直通到天，神的众使者在梯子上下往来。

当天晚上，神在梦中来到亚兰人拉班那里，对他说：“你要小心，不可与雅各说什么。”

于是这隐秘的事在夜间的异象中给但以理显明了。但以理就称颂天上的神。

我作了一个梦，这梦使我惧怕；我在床上所见的梦幻和我脑海中出现的异象，都使我惊惶。

当夜，神在梦中来到亚比米勒那里，对他说：“你该死，因为你接来的那女人，是个有夫之妇。”
