Who cuts a channel for the torrents of rain, and a path for the thunderstorm,

Who tells the rain where it should fall? Who makes paths for the thunderstorms?

“ Who has cleft a channel for the torrents of rain and a way for the thunderbolt,

“ Who created a channel for the torrents of rain? Who laid out the path for the lightning?

Who cuts a channel for the flooding rain or clears the way for lightning,

“ Who has split open a channel for the flood, And a way for the thunderbolt,

Who hath cleft a channel for the waterflood, Or the way for the lightning of the thunder;

Who carves out a channel for the heavy rains, and a path for the rumble of thunder,

When He made a law for the rain, And a path for the thunderbolt,

The voice of the Lord is over the waters; The God of glory thunders; The Lord is over many waters.The voice of the Lord is powerful; The voice of the Lord is full of majesty.The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars, Yes, the Lord splinters the cedars of Lebanon.He makes them also skip like a calf, Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild ox.The voice of the Lord divides the flames of fire.The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness; The Lord shakes the Wilderness of Kadesh.The voice of the Lord makes the deer give birth, And strips the forests bare; And in His temple everyone says,“ Glory!”The Lord sat enthroned at the Flood, And the Lord sits as King forever.

For He draws up drops of water, Which distill as rain from the mist,Which the clouds drop down And pour abundantly on man.

He sends it forth under the whole heaven, His lightning to the ends of the earth.After it a voice roars; He thunders with His majestic voice, And He does not restrain them when His voice is heard.God thunders marvelously with His voice; He does great things which we cannot comprehend.For He says to the snow,‘ Fall on the earth’; Likewise to the gentle rain and the heavy rain of His strength.
