誰沛霖雨、誰發雷電。

誰為暴雨分途歸河、誰為雷電定道、

Who cuts a channel for the torrents of rain, and a path for the thunderstorm,

Who tells the rain where it should fall? Who makes paths for the thunderstorms?

“ Who has cleft a channel for the torrents of rain and a way for the thunderbolt,

“ Who created a channel for the torrents of rain? Who laid out the path for the lightning?

Who cuts a channel for the flooding rain or clears the way for lightning,

“ Who has split open a channel for the flood, And a way for the thunderbolt,

“ Who has divided a channel for the overflowing water, Or a path for the thunderbolt,

Who hath cleft a channel for the waterflood, Or the way for the lightning of the thunder;

Who cuts a channel for the flooding rain or clears the way for lightning,

Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder;

Who has cut a channel for the flood water, or the path for the thunder storm,

When he imposed a limit for the rain, and a path for the thunderstorm,

The LORD’s shout is heard over the water; the majestic God thunders, the LORD appears over the surging water.The LORD’s shout is powerful, the LORD’s shout is majestic.The LORD’s shout breaks the cedars, the LORD shatters the cedars of Lebanon.He makes Lebanon skip like a calf and Sirion like a young ox.The LORD’s shout strikes with flaming fire.The LORD’s shout shakes the wilderness, the LORD shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.The LORD’s shout bends the large trees and strips the leaves from the forests. Everyone in his temple says,“ Majestic!”The LORD sits enthroned over the engulfing waters, the LORD sits enthroned as the eternal king.

He draws up drops of water; they distill the rain into its mist,which the clouds pour down and shower on humankind abundantly.

Under the whole heaven he lets it go, even his lightning to the far corners of the earth.After that a voice roars; he thunders with an exalted voice, and he does not hold back his lightning bolts when his voice is heard.God thunders with his voice in marvelous ways; he does great things beyond our understanding.For to the snow he says,‘ Fall to earth,’ and to the torrential rains,‘ Pour down.’
