Who cuts a channel for the torrents of rain, and a path for the thunderstorm,

When He made a limit for the rain, And a course for the thunderbolt,

The voice of the Lord is on the waters; The God of glory thunders, The Lord is over many waters.The voice of the Lord is powerful, The voice of the Lord is majestic.The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars; Yes, the Lord breaks the cedars of Lebanon in pieces.He makes Lebanon skip like a calf, And Sirion like a young wild ox.The voice of the Lord divides flames of fire.The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness; The Lord shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.The voice of the Lord makes the deer give birth And strips the forests bare; And in His temple everything says,“ Glory!”The Lord sat as King at the flood; Yes, the Lord sits as King forever.

For He draws up the drops of water; They distill rain from its celestial stream,Which clouds pour down; They drip upon mankind abundantly.

Under the whole heaven He lets it loose, And His lightning travels to the ends of the earth.After it, a voice roars; He thunders with His majestic voice, And He does not restrain the lightning when His voice is heard.God thunders wondrously with His voice, Doing great things which we do not comprehend.For to the snow He says,‘ Fall on the earth,’ And to the downpour and the rain,‘ Be strong.’
