“ What is the way to the abode of light? And where does darkness reside?

光明的居所從何而至？黑暗的本位在於何處？

「哪條路通往光明的居所？哪裡是黑暗的住處？

哪條是到光明居所的道路？黑暗的本位在哪裡？

『亮光之住處、其路在哪裏？黑暗呢、其地方在哪裏？

光之居所、何由而至、暗之處所安在、

光在何方、暗在何所、爾豈識其途、能導人造其境乎。

光明之所居、由何路可至、晦冥之宅、又在何處、

“ Where does light come from? And where does darkness live?

“ Where is the way to the dwelling of light, and where is the place of darkness,

“ Where does light come from, and where does darkness go?

Where is the road to the home of light? Do you know where darkness lives,

“ Where is the way to the dwelling of light? And darkness, where is its place,

“ Where is the way to the dwelling of light? And darkness, where is its place,

Where is the way to the dwelling of light? And as for darkness, where is the place thereof,

Where is the road to the home of light? Do you know where darkness lives,

Where[ is] the way[ where] light dwelleth? and[ as for] darkness, where[ is] the place thereof,

“ In what direction does light reside, and darkness, where is its place,

“ What is the way to the dwelling of light? As for darkness, where is its place,

The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world.

All the shining lights in the heavens I will darken over you; I will bring darkness over your land, declares the Sovereign Lord.

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said,“ I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

“ Have you ever given orders to the morning, or shown the dawn its place,that it might take the earth by the edges and shake the wicked out of it?

And when you look up to the sky and see the sun, the moon and the stars— all the heavenly array— do not be enticed into bowing down to them and worshiping things the Lord your God has apportioned to all the nations under heaven.

He sent darkness and made the land dark— for had they not rebelled against his words?

You bring darkness, it becomes night, and all the beasts of the forest prowl.

From noon until three in the afternoon darkness came over all the land.

And God said,“ Let there be light,” and there was light.God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.

And God said,“ Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years,and let them be lights in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth.” And it was so.God made two great lights— the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars.God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth,to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good.

He made darkness his covering, his canopy around him— the dark rain clouds of the sky.

I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the Lord, do all these things.

He who forms the mountains, who creates the wind, and who reveals his thoughts to mankind, who turns dawn to darkness, and treads on the heights of the earth— the Lord God Almighty is his name.

Give glory to the Lord your God before he brings the darkness, before your feet stumble on the darkening hills. You hope for light, but he will turn it to utter darkness and change it to deep gloom.
