Where is the way to the dwelling of light? And as for darkness, where is the place thereof,

『亮光之住處、其路在哪裏？黑暗呢、其地方在哪裏？

光之居所、何由而至、暗之處所安在、

光在何方、暗在何所、爾豈識其途、能導人造其境乎。

光明之所居、由何路可至、晦冥之宅、又在何處、

“ What is the way to the abode of light? And where does darkness reside?

“ Where does light come from? And where does darkness live?

“ Where is the way to the dwelling of light, and where is the place of darkness,

“ Where does light come from, and where does darkness go?

Where is the road to the home of light? Do you know where darkness lives,

“ Where is the way to the dwelling of light? And darkness, where is its place,

“ Where is the way to the dwelling of light? And darkness, where is its place,

Where is the road to the home of light? Do you know where darkness lives,

Where[ is] the way[ where] light dwelleth? and[ as for] darkness, where[ is] the place thereof,

“ In what direction does light reside, and darkness, where is its place,

“ What is the way to the dwelling of light? As for darkness, where is its place,

There was the true light, even the light which lighteth every man, coming into the world.

All the bright lights of heaven will I make dark over thee, and set darkness upon thy land, saith the Lord Jehovah.

Again therefore Jesus spake unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days began, And caused the dayspring to know its place;That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, And the wicked be shaken out of it?

and lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun and the moon and the stars, even all the host of heaven, thou be drawn away and worship them, and serve them, which Jehovah thy God hath allotted unto all the peoples under the whole heaven.

He sent darkness, and made it dark; And they rebelled not against his words.

Thou makest darkness, and it is night, Wherein all the beasts of the forest creep forth.

Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour.

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years:and let them be for lights in the firmament of heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.And God made the two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.And God set them in the firmament of heaven to give light upon the earth,and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

He made darkness his hiding- place, his pavilion round about him, Darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies.

I form the light, and create darkness; I make peace, and create evil; I am Jehovah, that doeth all these things.

For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is his thought; that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the Earth— Jehovah, the God of hosts, is his name.

Give glory to Jehovah your God, before he cause darkness, and before your feet stumble upon the dark mountains, and, while ye look for light, he turn it into the shadow of death, and make it gross darkness.
