Behold, he spreadeth his light around him; And he covereth the bottom of the sea.

閃光普照其四周、覆以海底、

電閃穹蒼、覆幬海底、

天主使光明普照其上、且以覆海底、

See how he scatters his lightning about him, bathing the depths of the sea.

See how he scatters his lightning around him! He lights up the deepest parts of the ocean.

Behold, he scatters his lightning about him and covers the roots of the sea.

Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, That abundance of waters may cover thee?Canst thou send forth lightnings, that they may go, And say unto thee, Here we are?

Pharaoh’s chariots and his host hath he cast into the sea; And his chosen captains are sunk in the Red Sea.The deeps cover them: They went down into the depths like a stone.

He made darkness his hiding- place, his pavilion round about him, Darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies.At the brightness before him his thick clouds passed, Hailstones and coals of fire.Jehovah also thundered in the heavens, And the Most High uttered his voice, Hailstones and coals of fire.And he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; Yea, lightnings manifold, and discomfited them.Then the channels of waters appeared, And the foundations of the world were laid bare, At thy rebuke, O Jehovah, At the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.He sent from on high, he took me; He drew me out of many waters.

Who laid the foundations of the earth, That it should not be moved for ever.Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a vesture; The waters stood above the mountains.At thy rebuke they fled; At the voice of thy thunder they hasted away( The mountains rose, the valleys sank down) Unto the place which thou hadst founded for them.Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; That they turn not again to cover the earth.

And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.

for as the lightning, when it lighteneth out of the one part under the heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall the Son of man be in his day.
