I get my knowledge from afar; I will ascribe justice to my Maker.

I get my knowledge from far away. I’ll announce that the God who made me is fair.

I will get my knowledge from afar and ascribe righteousness to my Maker.

If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.

And they were singing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb:“ Great and marvelous are your works, O Lord God, the Almighty. Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations.

For the righteous Lord loves justice. The virtuous will see his face.

But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.

He is the Rock; his deeds are perfect. Everything he does is just and fair. He is a faithful God who does no wrong; how just and upright he is!

The Lord is righteous in everything he does; he is filled with kindness.

Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.

Then Elihu son of Barakel the Buzite, of the clan of Ram, became angry. He was angry because Job refused to admit that he had sinned and that God was right in punishing him.

Search for them as you would for silver; seek them like hidden treasures.Then you will understand what it means to fear the Lord, and you will gain knowledge of God.

But there is a spirit within people, the breath of the Almighty within them, that makes them intelligent.

Does God twist justice? Does the Almighty twist what is right?

Are we saying, then, that God was unfair? Of course not!

“ But do people know where to find wisdom? Where can they find understanding?It is hidden from the eyes of all humanity. Even the sharp eyed birds in the sky cannot discover it.Destruction and Death say,‘ We’ve heard only rumors of where wisdom can be found.’“ God alone understands the way to wisdom; he knows where it can be found,for he looks throughout the whole earth and sees everything under the heavens.

For Job also said,‘ I am innocent, but God has taken away my rights.

So he started out, and he met the treasurer of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under the Kandake, the queen of Ethiopia. The eunuch had gone to Jerusalem to worship,and he was now returning. Seated in his carriage, he was reading aloud from the book of the prophet Isaiah.The Holy Spirit said to Philip,“ Go over and walk along beside the carriage.”Philip ran over and heard the man reading from the prophet Isaiah. Philip asked,“ Do you understand what you are reading?”The man replied,“ How can I, unless someone instructs me?” And he urged Philip to come up into the carriage and sit with him.The passage of Scripture he had been reading was this:“ He was led like a sheep to the slaughter. And as a lamb is silent before the shearers, he did not open his mouth.He was humiliated and received no justice. Who can speak of his descendants? For his life was taken from the earth.”The eunuch asked Philip,“ Tell me, was the prophet talking about himself or someone else?”So beginning with this same Scripture, Philip told him the Good News about Jesus.As they rode along, they came to some water, and the eunuch said,“ Look! There’s some water! Why can’t I be baptized?”

But faith’s way of getting right with God says,“ Don’t say in your heart,‘ Who will go up to heaven?’( to bring Christ down to earth).And don’t say,‘ Who will go down to the place of the dead?’( to bring Christ back to life again).”In fact, it says,“ The message is very close at hand; it is on your lips and in your heart.” And that message is the very message about faith that we preach:

“ But do people know where to find wisdom? Where can they find understanding?No one knows where to find it, for it is not found among the living.

Lord, you always give me justice when I bring a case before you. So let me bring you this complaint: Why are the wicked so prosperous? Why are evil people so happy?

Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the reign of King Herod. About that time some wise men from eastern lands arrived in Jerusalem, asking,“ Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw his star as it rose, and we have come to worship him.”

We cannot imagine the power of the Almighty; but even though he is just and righteous, he does not destroy us.

“ Lord, you are in the right; but as you see, our faces are covered with shame. This is true of all of us, including the people of Judah and Jerusalem and all Israel, scattered near and far, wherever you have driven us because of our disloyalty to you.

Therefore, the Lord has brought upon us the disaster he prepared. The Lord our God was right to do all of these things, for we did not obey him.

For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past,for he was looking ahead and including them in what he would do in this present time. God did this to demonstrate his righteousness, for he himself is fair and just, and he makes sinners right in his sight when they believe in Jesus.

“ Listen to me, you who have understanding. Everyone knows that God doesn’t sin! The Almighty can do no wrong.He repays people according to their deeds. He treats people as they deserve.Truly, God will not do wrong. The Almighty will not twist justice.
