Him you shall hear,according to all you desired of the Lord your God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying,‘ Let me not hear again the voice of the Lord my God, nor let me see this great fire anymore, lest I die.’“ And the Lord said to me:‘ What they have spoken is good.I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brethren, and will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him.And it shall be that whoever will not hear My words, which He speaks in My name, I will require it of him.But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in My name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.’And if you say in your heart,‘ How shall we know the word which the Lord has not spoken?’—when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.

He does not believe that he will return from darkness, For a sword is waiting for him.

but with him who stands here with us today before the Lord our God, as well as with him who is not here with us today( for you know that we dwelt in the land of Egypt and that we came through the nations which you passed by,and you saw their abominations and their idols which were among them— wood and stone and silver and gold);so that there may not be among you man or woman or family or tribe, whose heart turns away today from the Lord our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations, and that there may not be among you a root bearing bitterness or wormwood;and so it may not happen, when he hears the words of this curse, that he blesses himself in his heart, saying,‘ I shall have peace, even though I follow the dictates of my heart’— as though the drunkard could be included with the sober.“ The Lord would not spare him; for then the anger of the Lord and His jealousy would burn against that man, and every curse that is written in this book would settle on him, and the Lord would blot out his name from under heaven.

Then Jesus said to them again,“ I am going away, and you will seek Me, and will die in your sin. Where I go you cannot come.”So the Jews said,“ Will He kill Himself, because He says,‘ Where I go you cannot come’?”And He said to them,“ You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”

but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness— indignation and wrath,tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek;
