By reason of the multitude of oppressions they make[ the oppressed] to cry: they cry out by reason of the arm of the mighty.

“人因多受欺压就哀求，因受能者的辖制便求救，

“人因多受欺压就哀求，因强权者的膀臂而求救。

“人因多受欺压就哀求，因强权者的膀臂而求救。

“人们因饱受压迫而呼求，因强权者的压制而求救。

他们因多受欺压而呼叫，因受强权者的压制而呼求。

人因多受欺壓就哀求，因受能者的轄制便求救，

「人因多受欺壓就哀求，因強權者的膀臂而求救。

「人因多受欺壓就哀求，因強權者的膀臂而求救。

「人們因飽受壓迫而呼求，因強權者的壓制而求救。

他們因多受欺壓而呼叫，因受強權者的壓制而呼求。

『人因多受欺壓就哀呼：因受強者膀臂的轄制便呼救：

人因多虐而呼號、緣強者之臂而呼救、

人受困苦則嘆息、遭橫逆則呼號。

有人因多遭虐待而歎息、緣被有勢者欺壓而呼號、

“ People cry out under a load of oppression; they plead for relief from the arm of the powerful.

“ People cry out when they are treated badly. They beg to be set free from the power of those who are over them.

“ Because of the multitude of oppressions people cry out; they call for help because of the arm of the mighty.

“ People cry out when they are oppressed. They groan beneath the power of the mighty.

People cry out because of severe oppression; they shout for help because of the power of the mighty.

“ Because of the multitude of oppressions they cry out; They cry for help because of the arm of the mighty.

“ Because of the multitude of oppressions they cry out; They cry out for help because of the arm of the mighty.

By reason of the multitude of oppressions they cry out; They cry for help by reason of the arm of the mighty.

People cry out because of severe oppression; they shout for help because of the arm of the mighty.

“ People cry out because of the excess of oppression; they cry out for help because of the power of the mighty.

“ By reason of the multitude of oppressions they cry out. They cry for help by reason of the arm of the mighty.

And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.

So that they cause the cry of the poor to come unto him, and he heareth the cry of the afflicted.

Hast thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him?

Break thou the arm of the wicked and the evil[ man]: seek out his wickedness[ till] thou find none.

For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set[ him] in safety[ from him that] puffeth at him.

For thou[ art] the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

Be merciful unto me, O God: for man would swallow me up; he fighting daily oppresseth me.Mine enemies would daily swallow[ me] up: for[ they be] many that fight against me, O thou most High.

And there was a great cry of the people and of their wives against their brethren the Jews.For there were that said, We, our sons, and our daughters,[ are] many: therefore we take up corn[ for them], that we may eat, and live.[ Some] also there were that said, We have mortgaged our lands, vineyards, and houses, that we might buy corn, because of the dearth.There were also that said, We have borrowed money for the king’s tribute,[ and that upon] our lands and vineyards.Yet now our flesh[ is] as the flesh of our brethren, our children as their children: and, lo, we bring into bondage our sons and our daughters to be servants, and[ some] of our daughters are brought unto bondage[ already]: neither[ is it] in our power[ to redeem them]; for other men have our lands and vineyards.

And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?

Men groan from out of the city, and the soul of the wounded crieth out: yet God layeth not folly[ to them].

He leadeth princes away spoiled, and overthroweth the mighty.

Attend unto me, and hear me: I mourn in my complaint, and make a noise;Because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked: for they cast iniquity upon me, and in wrath they hate me.

Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.

And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which[ are] in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;
