Look up at the heavens and see; gaze at the clouds so high above you.

The Lord is slow to anger and great in power, And the Lord will by no means leave the guilty unpunished. In the gale and the storm is His way, And clouds are the dust beneath His feet.

“ But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain You, how much less this house which I have built!

When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have set in place;What is man that You think of him, And a son of man that You are concerned about him?

If even the moon has no brightness And the stars are not pure in His sight,How much less man, that maggot, And a son of man, that worm!”

It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain And spreads them out like a tent to live in.It is He who reduces rulers to nothing, Who makes the judges of the earth meaningless.

Behold, God is exalted, and we do not know Him; The number of His years is unsearchable.For He draws up the drops of water; They distill rain from its celestial stream,Which clouds pour down; They drip upon mankind abundantly.Can anyone understand the spreading of the clouds, The thundering of His pavilion?Behold, He spreads His lightning about Him, And He covers the depths of the sea.For by them He judges peoples; He gives food in abundance.He covers His hands with the lightning, And commands it to strike the target.Its thundering voice declares His presence; The livestock also, concerning what is coming up.“ At this also my heart trembles, And leaps from its place.Listen closely to the thunder of His voice, And the rumbling that goes out from His mouth.Under the whole heaven He lets it loose, And His lightning travels to the ends of the earth.After it, a voice roars; He thunders with His majestic voice, And He does not restrain the lightning when His voice is heard.God thunders wondrously with His voice, Doing great things which we do not comprehend.

From the north comes golden splendor; Around God is awesome majesty.The Almighty— we cannot find Him; He is exalted in power And He will not violate justice and abundant righteousness.

Do you know about the hovering of the clouds, The wonders of One who is perfect in knowledge,

And He took him outside and said,“ Now look toward the heavens and count the stars, if you are able to count them.” And He said to him,“ So shall your descendants be.”
