And now, because He has not avenged His anger, Nor has He acknowledged wrongdoing well,

但如今因他未曾发怒降罚，也不甚理会狂傲，

你还说祂没有发怒降罚，也不理会罪恶。

如今呢、他的忿怒既未曾行察罰，你便說他不很理會人的過犯。』

今因上帝未加以怒、不甚介意於傲慢、

今上帝猶未震怒、薄加譴責。

今雖言天主震怒以降罰、猶不視為降罰、尚未細察大過、

and further, that his anger never punishes and he does not take the least notice of wickedness.

When you say his anger never punishes sin, he won’t hear you. He won’t listen when you say he doesn’t pay any attention to evil.

And now, because his anger does not punish, and he does not take much note of transgression,

You say he does not respond to sinners with anger and is not greatly concerned about wickedness.

But now, because God’s anger does not punish and he does not pay attention to transgression,

And now, because He has not punished in His anger, Nor taken much notice of folly,

But now, because he hath not visited in his anger, Neither doth he greatly regard arrogance;

But now, because God’s anger does not punish and He does not pay attention to transgression,

But now, because[ it is] not[ so], he hath visited in his anger; yet he knoweth[ it] not in great extremity:

And further, when you say that his anger does not punish, and that he does not know transgression!

But now, because he has not visited in his anger, neither does he greatly regard arrogance.

Then I will punish their wrongdoing with the rod, And their guilt with afflictions.

Will Your graciousness be declared in the grave, Your faithfulness in Abaddon?Will Your wonders be made known in the darkness? And Your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?But I, Lord, have cried out to You for help, And in the morning my prayer comes before You.Lord, why do You reject my soul? Why do You hide Your face from me?I was miserable and about to die from my youth on; I suffer Your terrors; I grow weary.Your burning anger has passed over me; Your terrors have destroyed me.

How can I give you up, Ephraim? How can I surrender you, Israel? How can I make you like Admah? How can I treat you like Zeboiim? My heart is turned over within Me, All My compassions are kindled.I will not carry out My fierce anger; I will not destroy Ephraim again. For I am God and not a man, the Holy One in your midst, And I will not come in wrath.

For the moment, all discipline seems not to be pleasant, but painful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterward it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness.Therefore, strengthen the hands that are weak and the knees that are feeble,

But the Lord said to Moses and Aaron,“ Since you did not trust in Me, to treat Me as holy in the sight of the sons of Israel, for that reason you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.”

Though He slay me, I will hope in Him. Nevertheless I will argue my ways before Him.

How then can I answer Him, And choose my words before Him?

Those whom I love, I rebuke and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent.

But now it comes to you, and you are impatient; It touches you, and you are horrified.

And behold, you will be silent and unable to speak until the day when these things take place, because you did not believe my words, which will be fulfilled at their proper time.”

Sudden terrors are turned upon me; They chase away my dignity like the wind, And my prosperity has passed away like a cloud.“ And now my soul is poured out within me; Days of misery have seized me.At night it pierces my bones within me, And my gnawing pains do not rest.By a great force my garment is distorted; It ties me up like the collar of my coat.He has thrown me into the mire, And I have become like dust and ashes.I cry out to You for help, but You do not answer me; I stand up, and You turn Your attention against me.You have become cruel to me; With the strength of Your hand You persecute me.You lift me up to the wind and make me ride it; And You dissolve me in a storm.For I know that You will bring me to death, And to the house of meeting for all living.“ Yet does one in a heap of ruins not reach out with his hand, Or in his disaster does he not cry out for help?Have I not wept for the one whose life is hard? Was my soul not grieved for the needy?When I expected good, evil came; When I waited for light, darkness came.I am seething within and cannot rest; Days of misery confront me.I go about mourning without comfort; I stand up in the assembly and cry out for help.I have become a brother to jackals, And a companion of ostriches.My skin turns black on me, And my bones burn with fever.Therefore my harp is turned to mourning, And my flute to the sound of those who weep.
