Indeed, God does not listen to their empty plea; the Almighty pays no attention to it.

In fact, God doesn’t listen to their empty cries. The Mighty One doesn’t pay any attention to them.

Surely God does not hear an empty cry, nor does the Almighty regard it.

But it is wrong to say God doesn’t listen, to say the Almighty isn’t concerned.

Indeed, God does not listen to empty cries, and the Almighty does not take note of it—

God certainly will not listen to an empty cry, Nor will the Almighty regard it.

Surely God will not listen to empty talk, Nor will the Almighty regard it.

耶和華遠離惡人，卻聽義人的禱告。

所以我要使他們災難臨頭，無法逃脫，任他們高聲呼求，我也不聽。這是耶和華說的。

你們舉手禱告，我必掩面不理。即使你們禱告再多，我也不會聽，因為你們雙手沾滿鮮血。

你們求也得不到是因為你們動機不純，只求享樂和滿足自己的慾望。

你進入上帝的殿時要小心謹慎，近前傾聽勝過愚人獻祭，因為他們不知道自己是在作惡。在上帝面前不要冒失開口，不可急於發言，因為祂在天上，你在地上。所以，你要少言寡語。事務繁雜，夜裡多夢；多言多語，顯出愚昧。

耶和華憎恨惡人的祭物，悅納正直人的祈禱。

「你們禱告時不可像外族人那樣喋喋不休，他們以為長篇大論，就必蒙上帝垂聽。

即使你們獻上燔祭和素祭，我也不悅納；即使你們用肥美的牲畜獻上平安祭，我也不屑一顧。

因為不敬虔的人將被剷除，上帝將奪去他的性命。那時，他還有何指望？患難臨到他時，上帝豈會垂聽他的呼求？

耶穌問她：「你要什麼呢？」她說：「在你的國度，請讓我這兩個兒子一個坐在你右邊，一個坐在你左邊。」耶穌回答說：「你們不知道自己在求什麼。我要喝的那一杯，你們能喝嗎？」他們說：「我們能。」

「上帝啊！我向你呼求，你不回應；我站起來，你也不理睬。

祂必垂聽窮人的禱告，不藐視他們的祈求。

他們沒有真心呼求我，只是在床上哭號。他們為求五穀和新酒而割傷自己，卻背棄了我。

他們要向我呼求，『我們的上帝啊，我們以色列人認識你了。』以色列已經棄絕良善，所以敵人要追趕他。

人若不聽從律法，他的禱告也可憎。

你要接受祂的教誨，把祂的話謹記在心。你若歸向全能者，就必得到恢復。你若將罪惡從帳篷中遠遠趕走，將金子扔進塵土，將俄斐的金子丟在佈滿石頭的溪谷，全能者必成為你的金子，成為你珍貴的銀子。那時，你必從全能者那裡找到歡樂，你必抬頭仰望上帝。你向祂禱告，祂必垂聽，你必向祂還所許的願。
