即有其人、因其驕侈、雖呼莫應。

雖因惡人之兇暴而號呼、天主亦不應允、或作彼雖號呼天主不應允因惡人驕傲

He does not answer when people cry out because of the arrogance of the wicked.

He doesn’t answer sinful people when they cry out to him. That’s because they are so proud.

There they cry out, but he does not answer, because of the pride of evil men.

And when they cry out, God does not answer because of their pride.

They cried, but there was none to save; Even unto Jehovah, but he answered them not.

Therefore pride is as a chain about their neck; Violence covereth them as a garment.Their eyes stand out with fatness: They have more than heart could wish.They scoff, and in wickedness utter oppression: They speak loftily.
