如果你们愿意听从，就必享用这地方的美好出产。如果你们执意叛逆，就必丧身刀下。”这是耶和华亲口说的。

“难道滔滔不绝就无人反驳？难道唠唠叨叨就证明有理？你喋喋不休，人们岂能缄默不言？你嘲笑讥讽，岂不该有人使你羞愧？

“你在上帝面前自以为义，你认为这合理吗？你还说，‘这与我何干？我不犯罪又有何益处？’

“我的哀诉至今充满苦楚，祂的责罚使我呻吟不止。

“你要这样絮叨到何时？你的话犹如阵阵狂风。上帝岂会歪曲正义？全能者岂会颠倒是非？

约伯啊，这尽是虚言，是一大堆无知的话。”

耶和华对约伯说完这些话后，就对提幔人以利法说：“你和你的两个朋友令我愤怒，因为你们对我的议论不如我仆人约伯说的有理。
