When he gives quietness, who then can condemn? When he hides his face, who then can see him? He is over a nation or a man alike,

他若安静不动，谁能定他有罪呢？他若掩面，谁能看见他呢？无论对待一国或一人，都是这样。

他使人安靜，誰能擾亂呢？他掩面，誰能見他呢？無論待一國或一人都是如此－

他安靜，誰能定罪呢？他轉臉，誰能見他呢？無論一國或一人都是如此。

他若靜止不動，誰能嫌他不對呢？他若掩面，誰能見他呢？無論對國對人都是一樣；

上帝安人、誰能罪之、上帝掩面、誰能覲之、於國於人皆然、

主所福、誰能禍之、主所禍、誰能福之、其待人或一國、或匹夫、無二理也。

天主賜人綏安、誰能擾亂、天主若掩面、誰能覲之、其待一國待一人皆如是、

But if he remains silent, who can condemn him? If he hides his face, who can see him? Yet he is over individual and nation alike,

But if he remains silent, who can judge him? If he turns his face away, who can see him? He rules over individual people and nations alike.

When he is quiet, who can condemn? When he hides his face, who can behold him, whether it be a nation or a man?—

But if he chooses to remain quiet, who can criticize him? When he hides his face, no one can find him, whether an individual or a nation.

But when God is silent, who can declare him guilty? When he hides his face, who can see him? Yet he watches over both individuals and nations,

When He keeps quiet, who can condemn? And when He hides His face, who then can look at Him, That is, regarding both nation and a person?—

When He gives quietness, who then can make trouble? And when He hides His face, who then can see Him, Whether it is against a nation or a man alone?—

When he giveth quietness, who then can condemn? And when he hideth his face, who then can behold him? Alike whether it be done unto a nation, or unto a man:

But when God is silent, who can declare Him guilty? When He hides His face, who can see Him? Yet He watches over both individuals and nations,

But if God is quiet, who can condemn him? If he hides his face, then who can see him? Yet he is over the individual and the nation alike,

But he stands alone, and who can oppose him? What his soul desires, even that he does.

You will keep whoever’s mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you.

Don’t hide your face from me. Don’t put your servant away in anger. You have been my help. Don’t abandon me, neither forsake me, God of my salvation.

How long, Yahweh? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?

Job again took up his parable, and said,“ Oh that I were as in the months of old, as in the days when God watched over me;when his lamp shone on my head, and by his light I walked through darkness,

You, Yahweh, when you favored me, made my mountain stand strong; but when you hid your face, I was troubled.

It will happen in the day that Yahweh will give you rest from your sorrow, from your trouble, and from the hard service in which you were made to serve,that you will take up this parable against the king of Babylon, and say,“ How the oppressor has ceased! The golden city has ceased!”Yahweh has broken the staff of the wicked, the scepter of the rulers,who struck the peoples in wrath with a continual stroke, who ruled the nations in anger, with a persecution that no one restrained.The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet. They break out in song.Yes, the cypress trees rejoice with you, with the cedars of Lebanon, saying,“ Since you are humbled, no lumberjack has come up against us.”

Hurry to answer me, Yahweh. My spirit fails. Don’t hide your face from me, so that I don’t become like those who go down into the pit.

“‘“‘ It will happen that I will punish the nation and the kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon,’ says Yahweh,‘ with the sword, with famine, and with pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand.

What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?He who didn’t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?Who could bring a charge against God’s chosen ones? It is God who justifies.Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, yes rather, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

“ If I go east, he is not there; if west, I can’t find him;He works to the north, but I can’t see him. He turns south, but I can’t catch a glimpse of him.

The work of righteousness will be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and confidence forever.

Moreover all the chiefs of the priests, and the people, trespassed very greatly after all the abominations of the nations; and they polluted Yahweh’s house which he had made holy in Jerusalem.Yahweh, the God of their fathers, sent to them by his messengers, rising up early and sending, because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling place;but they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and scoffed at his prophets, until Yahweh’s wrath arose against his people, until there was no remedy.Therefore he brought on them the king of the Chaldeans, who killed their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and had no compassion on young man or virgin, old man or gray- headed. He gave them all into his hand.

Behold, he breaks down, and it can’t be built again. He imprisons a man, and there can be no release.

In the fourth year of king Hezekiah, which was the seventh year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel, Shalmaneser king of Assyria came up against Samaria, and besieged it.At the end of three years they took it. In the sixth year of Hezekiah, which was the ninth year of Hoshea king of Israel, Samaria was taken.The king of Assyria carried Israel away to Assyria, and put them in Halah, and on the Habor, the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes,because they didn’t obey Yahweh their God’s voice, but transgressed his covenant, even all that Moses the servant of Yahweh commanded, and would not hear it or do it.

Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.

When the king lived in his house, and Yahweh had given him rest from all his enemies all around,
