He strikes them as wicked men in the open sight of others;

他在觀眾面前擊打他們，有如擊打惡人一樣；

他在萬目睽睽之地批擊他們、以代替批擊惡人；

以之為惡、擊之於眾前、

因其行惡、擊之於眾前。

彼乃惡人、天主明責之、為眾所觀、

He punishes them for their wickedness where everyone can see them,

He punishes them for the sins they commit. He does it where everyone can see them.

He strikes them for their wickedness in a place for all to see,

He strikes them down because they are wicked, doing it openly for all to see.

In full view of the public, he strikes them for their wickedness,

He strikes them like the wicked In a public place,

He strikes them as wicked men In the open sight of others,

He striketh them as wicked men In the open sight of others;

In full view of the public, He strikes them for their wickedness,

He striketh them as wicked men in the open sight of others;

He strikes them for their wickedness, in a place where people can see,

Some men’s sins are evident, preceding them to judgment, and some also follow later.

Those who sin, reprove in the sight of all, that the rest also may be in fear.

The kings of the earth who committed sexual immorality and lived wantonly with her will weep and wail over her, when they look at the smoke of her burning,standing far away for the fear of her torment, saying,‘ Woe, woe, the great city, Babylon, the strong city! For your judgment has come in one hour.’

“ This is what Yahweh says:‘ Behold, I will raise up evil against you out of your own house; and I will take your wives before your eyes, and give them to your neighbor, and he will lie with your wives in the sight of this sun.For you did this secretly, but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun.’”

“ Rejoice over her, O heaven, you saints, apostles, and prophets; for God has judged your judgment on her.”

All the men of his city shall stone him to death with stones. So you shall remove the evil from among you. All Israel shall hear, and fear.

but you shall surely kill him. Your hand shall be first on him to put him to death, and afterwards the hands of all the people.You shall stone him to death with stones, because he has sought to draw you away from Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.All Israel shall hear, and fear, and shall not do any more wickedness like this among you.

“ They will go out, and look at the dead bodies of the men who have transgressed against me; for their worm will not die, nor will their fire be quenched, and they will be loathsome to all mankind.”

The righteous shall rejoice when he sees the vengeance. He shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked,so that men shall say,“ Most certainly there is a reward for the righteous. Most certainly there is a God who judges the earth.”

Thus Yahweh saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore.
