then that person can pray to God and find favor with him, they will see God’s face and shout for joy; he will restore them to full well- being.

若祈禱天主、蒙天主悅納、使其歡然得覲天主面、天主必按人之義以報之、

Then that person can pray to God and be blessed by him. They will see God’s face and shout for joy. God will make them well and happy again.

then man prays to God, and he accepts him; he sees his face with a shout of joy, and he restores to man his righteousness.

When he prays to God, he will be accepted. And God will receive him with joy and restore him to good standing.

He will pray to God, and God will delight in him. That person will see his face with a shout of joy, and God will restore his righteousness to him.

People of Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. How gracious he will be when you cry for help! As soon as he hears, he will answer you.

For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.

His prayer and how God was moved by his entreaty, as well as all his sins and unfaithfulness, and the sites where he built high places and set up Asherah poles and idols before he humbled himself— all these are written in the records of the seers.

Whoever welcomes a prophet as a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward, and whoever welcomes a righteous person as a righteous person will receive a righteous person’s reward.And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward.”

He repays everyone for what they have done; he brings on them what their conduct deserves.

The Lord rewards everyone for their righteousness and faithfulness. The Lord delivered you into my hands today, but I would not lay a hand on the Lord’s anointed.

The Lord told him,“ Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying.

Praise be to the Lord, for he has heard my cry for mercy.

If you say,“ But we knew nothing about this,” does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not he who guards your life know it? Will he not repay everyone according to what they have done?

Many, Lord, are asking,“ Who will bring us prosperity?” Let the light of your face shine on us.Fill my heart with joy when their grain and new wine abound.

They caused the cry of the poor to come before him, so that he heard the cry of the needy.

He said:“ In my distress I called to the Lord, and he answered me. From deep in the realm of the dead I called for help, and you listened to my cry.You hurled me into the depths, into the very heart of the seas, and the currents swirled about me; all your waves and breakers swept over me.I said,‘ I have been banished from your sight; yet I will look again toward your holy temple.’The engulfing waters threatened me, the deep surrounded me; seaweed was wrapped around my head.To the roots of the mountains I sank down; the earth beneath barred me in forever. But you, Lord my God, brought my life up from the pit.“ When my life was ebbing away, I remembered you, Lord, and my prayer rose to you, to your holy temple.

He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward.

the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you;the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”’

Surely then you will find delight in the Almighty and will lift up your face to God.You will pray to him, and he will hear you, and you will fulfill your vows.

You have made known to me the paths of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence.’

and with you, Lord, is unfailing love”; and,“ You reward everyone according to what they have done.”

He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.

Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Lord,“ Remember, Lord, how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.Before Isaiah had left the middle court, the word of the Lord came to him:“ Go back and tell Hezekiah, the ruler of my people,‘ This is what the Lord, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you. On the third day from now you will go up to the temple of the Lord.

May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine on us—

To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy—

“ A vile disease has afflicted him; he will never get up from the place where he lies.”Even my close friend, someone I trusted, one who shared my bread, has turned against me.But may you have mercy on me, Lord; raise me up, that I may repay them.I know that you are pleased with me, for my enemy does not triumph over me.

To you, Lord, I call; you are my Rock, do not turn a deaf ear to me. For if you remain silent, I will be like those who go down to the pit.Hear my cry for mercy as I call to you for help, as I lift up my hands toward your Most Holy Place.

In his distress he sought the favor of the Lord his God and humbled himself greatly before the God of his ancestors.And when he prayed to him, the Lord was moved by his entreaty and listened to his plea; so he brought him back to Jerusalem and to his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord is God.
