Why do you contend against him, saying,‘ He will answer none of man’s words’?

任意以行、爾不順受曷故。

爾何為與天主爭論、天主所行、不自辨白、

Why do you complain to him that he responds to no one’s words?

Why do you claim that God never answers anybody’s questions?

So why are you bringing a charge against him? Why say he does not respond to people’s complaints?

Why do you take him to court for not answering anything a person asks?

“ Why do you complain to Him That He does not give an account of all His doings?

Why do you contend with Him? For He does not give an accounting of any of His words.

Why dost thou strive against him, For that he giveth not account of any of his matters?

“ Shall a faultfinder contend with the Almighty? He who argues with God, let him answer it.”

Once God has spoken; twice have I heard this: that power belongs to God,

Can your courage endure, or can your hands be strong, in the days that I shall deal with you? I the Lord have spoken, and I will do it.

but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You might even be found opposing God!” So they took his advice,

He said to them,“ It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority.

And falling to the ground, he heard a voice saying to him,“ Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?”And he said,“ Who are you, Lord?” And he said,“ I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.

“ For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor?”

Am I not allowed to do what I choose with what belongs to me? Or do you begrudge my generosity?’

How then can I answer him, choosing my words with him?

Because he has stretched out his hand against God and defies the Almighty,running stubbornly against him with a thickly bossed shield;

Shall we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he?
