So Elihu son of Barakel the Buzite said:“ I am young in years, and you are old; that is why I was fearful, not daring to tell you what I know.

Elihu the Buzite, the son of Barakel, said,“ I’m young, and you are old. So I was afraid to tell you what I know.

And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said:“ I am young in years, and you are aged; therefore I was timid and afraid to declare my opinion to you.

Elihu son of Barakel the Buzite said,“ I am young and you are old, so I held back from telling you what I think.

So Elihu son of Barachel the Buzite replied: I am young in years, while you are old; therefore I was timid and afraid to tell you what I know.

So Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite spoke out and said,“ I am young in years and you are old; Therefore I was shy and afraid to tell you what I think.

And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are very old; Wherefore I held back, and durst not show you mine opinion.

So Elihu son of Barachel the Buzite replied: I am young in years, while you are old; therefore I was timid and afraid to tell you what I know.

And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I[ am] young, and ye[ are] very old; wherefore I was afraid, and durst not shew you mine opinion.

So Elihu son of Barakel the Buzite spoke up:“ I am young, but you are elderly; that is why I was fearful, and afraid to explain to you what I know.

Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered,“ I am young, and you are very old; Therefore I held back, and didn’t dare show you my opinion.

Both the gray-haired and the aged are among us, Much older than your father.

Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for“ God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”

Do not rebuke an older man, but exhort him as a father, younger men as brothers,

Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.

“ Are you the first man who was born? Or were you made before the hills?

‘ You shall rise before the gray headed and honor the presence of an old man, and fear your God: I am the Lord.

Likewise, exhort the young men to be sober-minded,

Now Eliab his oldest brother heard when he spoke to the men; and Eliab’s anger was aroused against David, and he said,“ Why did you come down here? And with whom have you left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know your pride and the insolence of your heart, for you have come down to see the battle.”And David said,“ What have I done now? Is there not a cause?”Then he turned from him toward another and said the same thing; and these people answered him as the first ones did.
