So Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite spoke out and said,“ I am young in years and you are old; Therefore I was shy and afraid to tell you what I think.

So Elihu son of Barakel the Buzite said:“ I am young in years, and you are old; that is why I was fearful, not daring to tell you what I know.

Elihu the Buzite, the son of Barakel, said,“ I’m young, and you are old. So I was afraid to tell you what I know.

And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said:“ I am young in years, and you are aged; therefore I was timid and afraid to declare my opinion to you.

Elihu son of Barakel the Buzite said,“ I am young and you are old, so I held back from telling you what I think.

So Elihu son of Barachel the Buzite replied: I am young in years, while you are old; therefore I was timid and afraid to tell you what I know.

So Elihu, the son of Barachel the Buzite, answered and said:“ I am young in years, and you are very old; Therefore I was afraid, And dared not declare my opinion to you.

And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are very old; Wherefore I held back, and durst not show you mine opinion.

So Elihu son of Barachel the Buzite replied: I am young in years, while you are old; therefore I was timid and afraid to tell you what I know.

And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I[ am] young, and ye[ are] very old; wherefore I was afraid, and durst not shew you mine opinion.

So Elihu son of Barakel the Buzite spoke up:“ I am young, but you are elderly; that is why I was fearful, and afraid to explain to you what I know.

Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered,“ I am young, and you are very old; Therefore I held back, and didn’t dare show you my opinion.

Both the gray haired and the aged are among us, Older than your father.

You younger men, likewise, be subject to your elders; and all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because God is opposed to the proud, but He gives grace to the humble.

Do not sharply rebuke an older man, but rather appeal to him as a father, and to the younger men as brothers,

Pay to all what is due them: tax to whom tax is due; custom to whom custom; respect to whom respect; honor to whom honor.

“ Were you the first person to be born, Or were you brought forth before the hills?

‘ You shall stand up in the presence of the grayheaded and honor elders, and you shall fear your God; I am the Lord.

Likewise urge the young men to be sensible;

Now Eliab his oldest brother heard him when he spoke to the men; and Eliab’s anger burned against David and he said,“ Why is it that you have come down? And with whom have you left those few sheep in the wilderness? I myself know your insolence and the wickedness of your heart; for you have come down in order to see the battle.”But David said,“ What have I done now? Was it not just a question?”Then he turned away from him to another and said the same thing; and the people replied with the same words as before.
