“我若见恨我的遭报就欢喜，见他遭灾便高兴；

“我若见恨我的遇难就欢喜，见他遭灾就高兴；

“我若见恨我的遇难就欢喜，见他遭灾就高兴；

“我何曾因敌人遭殃而欢喜，因他们遇祸而快乐？

我若因恨我的人遭灾祸而欢喜，或因他遇患难而高兴；

我若見恨我的遭報就歡喜，見他遭災便高興；（

「我若見恨我的遇難就歡喜，見他遭災就高興；

「我若見恨我的遇難就歡喜，見他遭災就高興；

「我何曾因敵人遭殃而歡喜，因他們遇禍而快樂？

我若因恨我的人遭災禍而歡喜，或因他遇患難而高興；

『我若因恨我之人的敗亡而歡喜，因他的遭禍而高興；（

我若因憾我者被滅而欣喜、緣其遭禍而氣揚、

仇有禍、未嘗欣喜踴躍。

何曾因敵遇災而喜、何曾因其遭禍而踴躍、

“ If I have rejoiced at my enemy’s misfortune or gloated over the trouble that came to him—

“ I wasn’t happy when hard times came to my enemies. I didn’t enjoy seeing the trouble they had.

“ If I have rejoiced at the ruin of him who hated me, or exulted when evil overtook him

“ Have I ever rejoiced when disaster struck my enemies, or become excited when harm came their way?

Have I rejoiced over my enemy’s distress, or become excited when trouble came his way?

“ Have I rejoiced at the misfortune of my enemy, Or become excited when evil found him?

“ If I have rejoiced at the destruction of him who hated me, Or lifted myself up when evil found him

If I have rejoiced at the destruction of him that hated me, Or lifted up myself when evil found him

Have I rejoiced over my enemy’s distress, or become excited when trouble came his way?

If I rejoiced at the destruction of him that hated me, or lifted up myself when evil found him:

If I have rejoiced over the misfortune of my enemy or exulted because calamity found him–

“ If I have rejoiced at the destruction of him who hated me, or lifted up myself when evil found him

你仇敵跌倒，你不要歡喜；他傾倒，你心不要快樂；恐怕耶和華看見就不喜悅，將怒氣從仇敵身上轉過來。 (cunpt)

戲笑窮人的，是辱沒造他的主；幸災樂禍的，必不免受罰。 (cunpt)

不容他們心裏說：阿哈，遂我們的心願了！不容他們說：我們已經把他吞了！願那喜歡我遭難的一同抱愧蒙羞！願那向我妄自尊大的披慚愧，蒙羞辱！ (cunpt)

至於我，當他們有病的時候，我便穿麻衣，禁食，刻苦己心；我所求的都歸到自己的懷中。我這樣行，好像他是我的朋友，我的弟兄；我屈身悲哀，如同人為母親哀痛。 (cunpt)

而且悲哀哭號，禁食到晚上，是因掃羅和他兒子約拿單，並耶和華的民以色列家的人，倒在刀下。 (cunpt)

從前有人報告我說，掃羅死了，他自以為報好消息；我就拿住他，將他殺在洗革拉，這就作了他報消息的賞賜。何況惡人將義人殺在他的牀上，我豈不向你們討流他血的罪、從世上除滅你們呢？」 (cunpt)

你兄弟遭難的日子，你不當瞪眼看着；猶大人被滅的日子，你不當因此歡樂；他們遭難的日子，你不當說狂傲的話。 (cunpt)

大衛王到了巴戶琳，見有一個人出來，是掃羅族基拉的兒子，名叫示每。他一面走一面咒罵，又拿石頭砍大衛王和王的臣僕；眾民和勇士都在王的左右。示每咒罵說：「你這流人血的壞人哪，去吧去吧！你流掃羅全家的血，接續他作王；耶和華把這罪歸在你身上，將這國交給你兒子押沙龍。現在你自取其禍，因為你是流人血的人。」 (cunpt)
