Have I not wept for the one whose life is hard? Was my soul not grieved for the needy?

人遭难，我岂不为他哭泣呢？人穷乏，我岂不为他忧愁呢？

人遭难的日子，我岂不为他哭泣呢？人贫穷的时候，我岂不为他忧愁呢？

人遭难的日子，我岂不为他哭泣呢？人贫穷的时候，我岂不为他忧愁呢？

难道我不曾为受苦的人哭泣，我的心不曾为穷困者悲伤吗？

艰难过日的，我不是为他哀哭；贫穷的，我不是为他忧愁吗？

人遭難，我豈不為他哭泣呢？人窮乏，我豈不為他憂愁呢？

人遭難的日子，我豈不為他哭泣呢？人貧窮的時候，我豈不為他憂愁呢？

難道我不曾為受苦的人哭泣，我的心不曾為窮困者悲傷嗎？

艱難過日的，我不是為他哀哭；貧窮的，我不是為他憂愁嗎？

難道人在困難日子、我不為他哭？人貧窮、我心不為他憂愁麼？

人遭難、我豈非為之哭泣、人貧乏、我豈非為之憂心、

人遭患難、我為哭泣、貧乏遇害、我心懷憂。

遭難者、我為之哀哭、貧乏者、我為之心憂、

Have I not wept for those in trouble? Has not my soul grieved for the poor?

Haven’t I wept for those who are in trouble? Haven’t I felt sorry for poor people?

Did not I weep for him whose day was hard? Was not my soul grieved for the needy?

Did I not weep for those in trouble? Was I not deeply grieved for the needy?

Have I not wept for those who have fallen on hard times? Has my soul not grieved for the needy?

Have I not wept for him who was in trouble? Has not my soul grieved for the poor?

Did not I weep for him that was in trouble? Was not my soul grieved for the needy?

Have I not wept for those who have fallen on hard times? Has my soul not grieved for the needy?

Did not I weep for him that was in trouble? was[ not] my soul grieved for the poor?

Have I not wept for the unfortunate? Was not my soul grieved for the poor?

Didn’t I weep for him who was in trouble? Wasn’t my soul grieved for the needy?

Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.

But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth; I humbled my soul with fasting, But my prayer kept returning to me.I went about as though it were my friend or brother; I bowed down in mourning, like one who mourns for a mother.

But if you do not listen to it, My soul will weep in secret for such pride; And my eyes will shed And stream down tears, Because the flock of the Lord has been taken captive.

“ If I have kept the poor from their desire, Or have caused the eyes of the widow to fail,Or have eaten my morsel alone, And the orphan has not shared it( But from my youth he grew up with me as with a father, And from my infancy I guided her),If I have seen anyone perish for lack of clothing, Or that the needy had no covering,If his waist has not thanked me, And if he has not been warmed with the fleece of my sheep,If I have lifted up my hand against the orphan, Because I saw I had support in the gate,

Is it not to break your bread with the hungry And bring the homeless poor into the house; When you see the naked, to cover him; And not to hide yourself from your own flesh?Then your light will break out like the dawn, And your recovery will spring up quickly; And your righteousness will go before you; The glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.

One who mocks the poor taunts his Maker; One who rejoices at disaster will not go unpunished.

They push the needy aside from the road; The poor of the land have to hide themselves together.

One who oppresses the poor taunts his Maker, But one who is gracious to the needy honors Him.

Should good be repaid with evil? For they have dug a pit for me. Remember how I stood before You To speak good in their behalf, So as to turn Your wrath away from them.

as it is written:“ He scattered abroad, he gave to the poor, His righteousness endures forever.”

One who despises his neighbor sins, But one who is gracious to the poor is blessed.

Therefore, O king, may my advice be pleasing to you: wipe away your sin by doing righteousness, and your wrongdoings by showing mercy to the poor, in case there may be a prolonging of your prosperity.’

Jesus wept.

One who is gracious to a poor person lends to the Lord, And He will repay him for his good deed.

When He approached Jerusalem, He saw the city and wept over it,

Help, Lord, for the godly person has come to an end, For the faithful have disappeared from the sons of mankind.

One who increases his wealth by interest of any kind, Collects it for one who is gracious to the poor.
