I am full of disgrace; See my misery!If my head is exalted, You hunt me like a fierce lion, And again You show Yourself awesome against me.You renew Your witnesses against me, And increase Your indignation toward me; Changes and war are ever with me.

He tears me in His wrath, and hates me; He gnashes at me with His teeth; My adversary sharpens His gaze on me.They gape at me with their mouth, They strike me reproachfully on the cheek, They gather together against me.God has delivered me to the ungodly, And turned me over to the hands of the wicked.I was at ease, but He has shattered me; He also has taken me by my neck, and shaken me to pieces; He has set me up for His target,His archers surround me. He pierces my heart and does not pity; He pours out my gall on the ground.He breaks me with wound upon wound; He runs at me like a warrior.

You have a mighty arm; Strong is Your hand, and high is Your right hand.

That it would please God to crush me, That He would loose His hand and cut me off!

All your lovers have forgotten you; They do not seek you; For I have wounded you with the wound of an enemy, With the chastisement of a cruel one, For the multitude of your iniquities, Because your sins have increased.

Will You frighten a leaf driven to and fro? And will You pursue dry stubble?For You write bitter things against me, And make me inherit the iniquities of my youth.You put my feet in the stocks, And watch closely all my paths. You set a limit for the soles of my feet.“ Man decays like a rotten thing, Like a garment that is moth-eaten.

Know then that God has wronged me, And has surrounded me with His net.“ If I cry out concerning wrong, I am not heard. If I cry aloud, there is no justice.He has fenced up my way, so that I cannot pass; And He has set darkness in my paths.He has stripped me of my glory, And taken the crown from my head.

Will the Lord cast off forever? And will He be favorable no more?Has His mercy ceased forever? Has His promise failed forevermore?Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has He in anger shut up His tender mercies? Selah

Would He contend with me in His great power? No! But He would take note of me.

Why do you persecute me as God does, And are not satisfied with my flesh?

Does it seem good to You that You should oppress, That You should despise the work of Your hands, And smile on the counsel of the wicked?

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,

Have I sinned? What have I done to You, O watcher of men? Why have You set me as Your target, So that I am a burden to myself?Why then do You not pardon my transgression, And take away my iniquity? For now I will lie down in the dust, And You will seek me diligently, But I will no longer be.”
