You have turned cruel to me; with the might of your hand you persecute me.

You have become cruel toward me. You use your power to persecute me.

You have turned against me with cruelty; you harass me with your strong hand.

You have become cruel to me; With the strength of Your hand You persecute me.

But You have become cruel to me; With the strength of Your hand You oppose me.

Thou art turned to be cruel to me; With the might of thy hand thou persecutest me.

You have turned against me with cruelty; You harass me with Your strong hand.

You have turned to be cruel to me. With the might of your hand you persecute me.

If I sinned, then you would watch me and you would not acquit me of my iniquity.If I am guilty, woe to me, and if I am innocent, I cannot lift my head; I am full of shame, and satiated with my affliction.If I lift myself up, you hunt me as a fierce lion, and again you display your power against me.You bring new witnesses against me, and increase your anger against me; relief troops come against me.

His anger has torn me and persecuted me; he has gnashed at me with his teeth; my adversary locks his eyes on me.People have opened their mouths against me, they have struck my cheek in scorn; they unite together against me.God abandons me to evil men, and throws me into the hands of wicked men.I was in peace, and he has shattered me. He has seized me by the neck and crushed me. He has made me his target;his archers surround me. Without pity he pierces my kidneys and pours out my gall on the ground.He breaks through against me, time and time again; he rushes against me like a warrior.

Your arm is powerful, your hand strong, your right hand victorious.

And that God would be willing to crush me, that he would let loose his hand and kill me.

All your allies have abandoned you. They no longer have any concern for you. For I have attacked you like an enemy would. I have chastened you cruelly. For your wickedness is so great and your sin is so much.

Do you wish to torment a windblown leaf and chase after dry chaff?For you write down bitter things against me and cause me to inherit the sins of my youth.And you put my feet in the stocks and you watch all my movements; you put marks on the soles of my feet.So I waste away like something rotten, like a garment eaten by moths.

know then that God has wronged me and encircled me with his net.“ If I cry out,‘ Violence!’ I receive no answer; I cry for help, but there is no justice.He has blocked my way so I cannot pass, and has set darkness over my paths.He has stripped me of my honor and has taken the crown off my head.

I asked,“ Will the Lord reject me forever? Will he never again show me his favor?Has his loyal love disappeared forever? Has his promise failed forever?Has God forgotten to be merciful? Has his anger stifled his compassion?”

Would he contend with me with great power? No, he would only pay attention to me.

Why do you pursue me like God does? Will you never be satiated with my flesh?

Is it good for you to oppress, to despise the work of your hands, while you smile on the schemes of the wicked?

And God will exalt you in due time, if you humble yourselves under his mighty hand

If I have sinned– what have I done to you, O watcher of men? Why have you set me as your target? Have I become a burden to you?And why do you not pardon my transgression, and take away my iniquity? For now I will lie down in the dust, and you will seek me diligently, but I will be gone.”
