Terrors overwhelm me; my dignity is driven away as by the wind, my safety vanishes like a cloud.

Terrors sweep over me. My honor is driven away as if by the wind. My safety vanishes like a cloud.

Terrors are turned upon me; my honor is pursued as by the wind, and my prosperity has passed away like a cloud.

I live in terror now. My honor has blown away in the wind, and my prosperity has vanished like a cloud.

For the arrows of the Almighty are within me; My spirit drinks in their poison; The terrors of God are arrayed against me.

“ O Ephraim, what shall I do to you? O Judah, what shall I do to you? For your faithfulness is like a morning cloud, And like the early dew it goes away.

If I say,‘ I will forget my complaint, I will put off my sad face and wear a smile,’I am afraid of all my sufferings; I know that You will not hold me innocent.

Then You scare me with dreams And terrify me with visions,

If my head is exalted, You hunt me like a fierce lion, And again You show Yourself awesome against me.

I have been afflicted and ready to die from my youth; I suffer Your terrors; I am distraught.

My heart is severely pained within me, And the terrors of death have fallen upon me.Fearfulness and trembling have come upon me, And horror has overwhelmed me.

For destruction from God is a terror to me, And because of His magnificence I cannot endure.

As the cloud disappears and vanishes away, So he who goes down to the grave does not come up.

For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me, And what I dreaded has happened to me.
