There the wicked cease from turmoil, and there the weary are at rest.

In the grave, sinful people don’t cause trouble anymore. And there tired people find rest.

There the wicked cease from troubling, and there the weary are at rest.

For in death the wicked cause no trouble, and the weary are at rest.

There the wicked cease to make trouble, and there the weary find rest.

There the wicked cease from raging, And there the weary are at rest.

There the wicked cease from troubling, And there the weary are at rest.

I heard a voice from heaven saying,“ Write,‘ Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’”“ Yes,” says the Spirit,“ that they may rest from their labors; for their works follow with them.”

Let’s therefore give diligence to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience.

There remains therefore a Sabbath rest for the people of God.

“ Oh that you would hide me in Sheol, that you would keep me secret until your wrath is past, that you would appoint me a set time and remember me!

Shall it go down with me to the gates of Sheol, or descend together into the dust?”

The righteous perish, and no one lays it to heart. Merciful men are taken away, and no one considers that the righteous is taken away from the evil.He enters into peace. They rest in their beds, each one who walks in his uprightness.

Since it is a righteous thing with God to repay affliction to those who afflict you,and to give relief to you who are afflicted with us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire,

Don’t be afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. Rather, fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.

( for that righteous man dwelling among them was tormented in his righteous soul from day to day with seeing and hearing lawless deeds):

“ I tell you, my friends, don’t be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.

Fearfulness and trembling have come on me. Horror has overwhelmed me.I said,“ Oh that I had wings like a dove! Then I would fly away, and be at rest.Behold, then I would wander far off. I would lodge in the wilderness.” Selah.“ I would hurry to a shelter from the stormy wind and storm.”
