[ There is] a path which no fowl knoweth, and which the vulture’s eye hath not seen:

『礦苗的路、鷙鳥不知道，隼的眼不曾瞥見過；

其道鷙鳥不識、鷹目未窺、

鷙鳥不之識。鷹目不之窺、

其境鷙鳥不識、鷹目不窺、

No bird of prey knows that hidden path, no falcon’s eye has seen it.

“ That path no bird of prey knows, and the falcon’s eye has not seen it.

These are treasures no bird of prey can see, no falcon’s eye observe.

Where[ is] the way[ where] light dwelleth? and[ as for] darkness, where[ is] the place thereof,

By what way is the light parted,[ which] scattereth the east wind upon the earth?

O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable[ are] his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

Seeing it is hid from the eyes of all living, and kept close from the fowls of the air.Destruction and death say, We have heard the fame thereof with our ears.God understandeth the way thereof, and he knoweth the place thereof.

And that he would shew thee the secrets of wisdom, that[ they are] double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacteth of thee[ less] than thine iniquity[ deserveth].
