因以曉人曰、敬畏主、此即智慧、遠離惡事、此即明哲、

And he said to the human race,“ The fear of the Lord— that is wisdom, and to shun evil is understanding.”

He said to human beings,“ Have respect for the Lord. That will prove you are wise. Avoid evil. That will show you have understanding.”

And he said to man,‘ Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to turn away from evil is understanding.’”

And this is what he says to all humanity:‘ The fear of the Lord is true wisdom; to forsake evil is real understanding.’”

He said to mankind,“ The fear of the Lord— that is wisdom. And to turn from evil is understanding.”

And to mankind He said,‘ Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; And to turn away from evil is understanding.’ ”

And to man He said,‘ Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, And to depart from evil is understanding.’”

And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; And to depart from evil is understanding.

He said to mankind,“ The fear of the Lord is this: wisdom. And to turn from evil is understanding.”

敬畏耶和华是智慧的开端，凡遵行他命令的有美好的见识。耶和华是永远当赞美的！

不要自以为有智慧；要敬畏耶和华，远离恶事。

敬畏耶和华是知识的开端；愚妄人藐视智慧和训诲。

敬畏耶和华是智慧的开端，认识至圣者便是聪明。

你们要谨守遵行；这就是你们在万民眼前的智慧和聪明。他们听见这一切律例，必说：‘这大国的人真是有智慧，有聪明！’

这些事都已听见了，结论就是：敬畏上帝，谨守他的诫命，这是人当尽的本分。

你们中间谁是有智慧有见识的呢？他就当在智慧的温柔上显出他的善行来。你们心里若怀着恶毒的嫉妒和自私，就不可自夸，不可说谎话抵挡真理。这样的智慧不是从上头下来的，而是属地上的，属情欲的，属鬼魔的。在何处有嫉妒、自私，在何处就有动乱和各样的坏事。惟独从上头来的智慧，先是清洁，后是和平、温良、柔顺，满有怜悯和美善的果子，没有偏私，没有虚伪。

要弃恶行善，寻求和睦，一心追求。

正直人的道远离恶事，谨守己路的，保全性命。

“隐秘的事是属耶和华—我们上帝的，但明显的事是永远属我们和我们子孙的，为要叫我们遵行这律法上的一切话。”

“人哪，我呼唤你们，我向世人扬声。愚蒙人哪，你们要学习灵巧，愚昧人哪，你们的心要明辨。

你们要洗涤、自洁，从我眼前除掉恶行；要停止作恶，

那时，他还没有创造大地和田野，并世上头一撮尘土。他立高天，我在那里，他在渊面的周围划出圆圈，上使穹苍坚硬，下使渊源稳固，为沧海定出范围，使水不越过界限，奠定大地的根基。那时，我在他旁边为工程师，天天充满喜乐，时时在他面前欢笑，在他的全地欢笑，喜爱住在人世间。“孩子们，现在要听从我，谨守我道的有福了。

也要弃恶行善，寻求和睦，一心追求。

智慧人的教诲是生命的泉源，使人避开死亡的圈套。

然而，上帝坚固的根基屹立不移；上面有这印记说：“主认得他自己的人”，又说：“凡称呼主名的人总要离开不义。”
