And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that[ is] wisdom; and to depart from evil[ is] understanding.

因以曉人曰、敬畏主、此即智慧、遠離惡事、此即明哲、

And he said to the human race,“ The fear of the Lord— that is wisdom, and to shun evil is understanding.”

He said to human beings,“ Have respect for the Lord. That will prove you are wise. Avoid evil. That will show you have understanding.”

And he said to man,‘ Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to turn away from evil is understanding.’”

And this is what he says to all humanity:‘ The fear of the Lord is true wisdom; to forsake evil is real understanding.’”

He said to mankind,“ The fear of the Lord— that is wisdom. And to turn from evil is understanding.”

And to mankind He said,‘ Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; And to turn away from evil is understanding.’ ”

And to man He said,‘ Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, And to depart from evil is understanding.’”

And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; And to depart from evil is understanding.

He said to mankind,“ The fear of the Lord is this: wisdom. And to turn from evil is understanding.”

And he said to mankind,‘ The fear of the LORD– that is wisdom, and to turn away from evil is understanding.’”

To man he said,‘ Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom. To depart from evil is understanding.’”

The fear of the LORD[ is] the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do[ his commandments]: his praise endureth for ever.

Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

The fear of the LORD[ is] the beginning of knowledge:[ but] fools despise wisdom and instruction.

The fear of the LORD[ is] the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy[ is] understanding.

Keep therefore and do[ them]; for this[ is] your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation[ is] a wise and understanding people.

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this[ is] the whole[ duty] of man.

Who[ is] a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.This wisdom descendeth not from above, but[ is] earthly, sensual, devilish.For where envying and strife[ is], there[ is] confusion and every evil work.But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle,[ and] easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

The highway of the upright[ is] to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.

The secret[ things belong] unto the LORD our God: but those[ things which are] revealed[ belong] unto us and to our children for ever, that[ we] may do all the words of this law.

Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice[ is] to the sons of man.O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.

Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;

While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.When he prepared the heavens, I[ was] there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:Then I was by him,[ as] one brought up[ with him]: and I was daily[ his] delight, rejoicing always before him;Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights[ were] with the sons of men.Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed[ are they that] keep my ways.

Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.

The law of the wise[ is] a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.

Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
