The plague will bury those who survive him, and their widows will not weep for them.

A plague will kill those who are left alive. The widows of sinful men won’t even weep over their own children.

Those who survive him the pestilence buries, and his widows do not weep.

Those who survive him will be buried by the plague, yet their widows will not weep for them.

His survivors will be buried because of the plague, And their widows will not be able to weep.

I will destroy every one of your male descendants, slave and free alike, anywhere in Israel!I am going to destroy your family as I did the family of Jeroboam son of Nebat and the family of Baasha son of Ahijah, for you have made me very angry and have led Israel into sin.’“ And regarding Jezebel, the Lord says,‘ Dogs will eat Jezebel’s body at the plot of land in Jezreel.’“ The members of Ahab’s family who die in the city will be eaten by dogs, and those who die in the field will be eaten by vultures.”

Therefore, this is what the Lord says about Jehoiakim, son of King Josiah:“ The people will not mourn for him, crying to one another,‘ Alas, my brother! Alas, my sister!’ His subjects will not mourn for him, crying,‘ Alas, our master is dead! Alas, his splendor is gone!’

I will bring disaster on your dynasty and will destroy every one of your male descendants, slave and free alike, anywhere in Israel. I will burn up your royal dynasty as one burns up trash until it is all gone.The members of Jeroboam’s family who die in the city will be eaten by dogs, and those who die in the field will be eaten by vultures. I, the Lord, have spoken.’”
