However many his children, their fate is the sword; his offspring will never have enough to eat.

All their children will be killed by swords. They’ll never have enough to eat.

If his children are multiplied, it is for the sword, and his descendants have not enough bread.

They may have many children, but the children will die in war or starve to death.

Even if his children increase, they are destined for the sword; his descendants will never have enough food.

Though his sons are many, they are destined for the sword; And his descendants will not be satisfied with bread.

You are to destroy the house of Ahab your master, and I will avenge the blood of my servants the prophets and the blood of all the Lord’s servants shed by Jezebel.The whole house of Ahab will perish. I will cut off from Ahab every last male in Israel— slave or free. (niv)

Your sons and daughters will be given to another nation, and you will wear out your eyes watching for them day after day, powerless to lift a hand. (niv)
