Who has gone up to heaven and come down? Whose hands have gathered up the wind? Who has wrapped up the waters in a cloak? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is the name of his son? Surely you know!
When he thunders, the waters in the heavens roar; he makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth. He sends lightning with the rain and brings out the wind from his storehouses.
I will make it a wasteland, neither pruned nor cultivated, and briers and thorns will grow there. I will command the clouds not to rain on it.”
And God said,“ Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water.”So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so.
He mounted the cherubim and flew; he soared on the wings of the wind.He made darkness his covering, his canopy around him— the dark rain clouds of the sky.

Who can understand how he spreads out the clouds, how he thunders from his pavilion?

He loads the clouds with moisture; he scatters his lightning through them.At his direction they swirl around over the face of the whole earth to do whatever he commands them.He brings the clouds to punish people, or to water his earth and show his love.“ Listen to this, Job; stop and consider God’s wonders.Do you know how God controls the clouds and makes his lightning flash?Do you know how the clouds hang poised, those wonders of him who has perfect knowledge?
