You haven’t offered advice to those who aren’t wise! In fact, you haven’t understood anything at all!

How you have counseled him who has no wisdom, and plentifully declared sound knowledge!

How you have enlightened my stupidity! What wise advice you have offered!

How you have counseled the unwise and abundantly provided insight!

How have you counseled one who has no wisdom? And how have you declared sound advice to many?

How hast thou counselled him that hath no wisdom, And plentifully declared sound knowledge!

How you have counseled the unwise and thoroughly explained the path to success!

How hast thou counselled[ him that hath] no wisdom? and[ how] hast thou plentifully declared the thing as it is?

How you have advised the one without wisdom, and abundantly revealed your insight!

How have you counseled him who has no wisdom, and plentifully declared sound knowledge!

“ Behold, I waited for your words, I listened to your skillful speech, While you pondered what to say.I also paid close attention to you; But indeed, there was no one who refuted Job, Not one of you who answered his words.So do not say,‘ We have found wisdom: God will defeat him, not man.’

Is it that my help is not within me, And that a good outcome is driven away from me?

My words are from the integrity of my heart, And my lips speak knowledge sincerely.

If not, listen to me; Keep silent, and I will teach you wisdom.”

“ Who is this who darkens the divine plan By words without knowledge?

But come again all of you now, For I do not find a wise man among you.

Do you hear the secret discussion of God, And limit wisdom to yourself?What do you know that we do not know? What do you understand that we do not?Both the gray haired and the aged are among us, Older than your father.

But I have intelligence as well as you; I am not inferior to you. And who does not know such things as these?

For I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole purpose of God.

Listen, for I will speak noble things; And the opening of my lips will reveal right things.For my mouth will proclaim truth; And wickedness is an abomination to my lips.All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; There is nothing crooked or perverted in them.They are all straightforward to him who understands, And right to those who find knowledge.

My mouth shall tell of Your righteousness And of Your salvation all day long; For I do not know the art of writing.I will come with the mighty deeds of the Lord God; I will make mention of Your righteousness, Yours alone.God, You have taught me from my youth, And I still declare Your wondrous deeds.And even when I am old and gray, God, do not abandon me, Until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to all who are to come.

Hear this, all peoples; Listen, all inhabitants of the world,Both low and high, Rich and poor together.My mouth will speak wisdom, And the meditation of my heart will be understanding.I will incline my ear to a proverb; I will express my riddle on the harp.

Oh that you would be completely silent, And that it would become your wisdom!
