These are just the beginning of all that he does, merely a whisper of his power. Who, then, can comprehend the thunder of his power?”

这些不过是他的作为的一点点，我们从他那里所听到的，是多么的微小！他大能的雷声谁能够明白呢？”

看哪，這不過是上帝行化之邊際；我們所聽於他的、是何等細微的低語啊！至於他大能之雷轟聲、誰能領會透呢？』

此其工作之末、我所聞之聲響、何其微小、至其力之雷霆、又孰能測之、

此其小者也、我所聞者止此、若夫雷霆轟烈、又孰能測之耶。

此天主經綸之少許、我儕所聞者亦祗此少許、天主發雷霆顯大力、誰能測之、

And these are but the outer fringe of his works; how faint the whisper we hear of him! Who then can understand the thunder of his power?”

Those are only on the edges of what he does. They are only the soft whispers that we hear from him. So who can understand how very powerful he is?”

Behold, these are but the outskirts of his ways, and how small a whisper do we hear of him! But the thunder of his power who can understand?”

These are but the fringes of his ways; how faint is the word we hear of him! Who can understand his mighty thunder?

Behold, these are the fringes of His ways; And how faint a word we hear of Him! But His mighty thunder, who can understand?”

Indeed these are the mere edges of His ways, And how small a whisper we hear of Him! But the thunder of His power who can understand?”

Lo, these are but the outskirts of his ways: And how small a whisper do we hear of him! But the thunder of his power who can understand?

These are but the fringes of His ways; how faint is the word we hear of Him! Who can understand His mighty thunder?

Lo, these[ are] parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand?

Indeed, these are but the outer fringes of his ways! How faint is the whisper we hear of him! But who can understand the thunder of his power?”

Behold, these are but the outskirts of his ways. How small a whisper do we hear of him! But the thunder of his power who can understand?”

“ This truth was given to me in secret, as though whispered in my ear.

“ Can you solve the mysteries of God? Can you discover everything about the Almighty?Such knowledge is higher than the heavens— and who are you? It is deeper than the underworld— what do you know?It is broader than the earth and wider than the sea.

Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to understand!

Who can understand the spreading of the clouds and the thunder that rolls forth from heaven?

Now our knowledge is partial and incomplete, and even the gift of prophecy reveals only part of the whole picture!But when the time of perfection comes, these partial things will become useless.When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things.Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.

Are you as strong as God? Can you thunder with a voice like his?

Those who fight against the Lord will be shattered. He thunders against them from heaven; the Lord judges throughout the earth. He gives power to his king; he increases the strength of his anointed one.”

Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise! No one can measure his greatness.

Look up into the heavens. Who created all the stars? He brings them out like an army, one after another, calling each by its name. Because of his great power and incomparable strength, not a single one is missing.O Jacob, how can you say the Lord does not see your troubles? O Israel, how can you say God ignores your rights?Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding.He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.

The voice of the Lord echoes above the sea. The God of glory thunders. The Lord thunders over the mighty sea.

Oh, how great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his ways!
