With His power He quieted the sea, And by His understanding He shattered Rahab.

他用他的能力攪動大海；藉着他的靈巧、他把拉哈龍擊傷。

以其能平靜滄海、以其智擊破波濤、

施其大能、海波洶湧、行其大智、洪濤恬靜、

以大能使海洶湧、以智慧擊傷拉哈伯、又作以大能使海恬靜以智慧制伏波濤

By his power he churned up the sea; by his wisdom he cut Rahab to pieces.

With his power he stirred up the oceans. In his wisdom he cut the sea monster Rahab to pieces.

By his power he stilled the sea; by his understanding he shattered Rahab.

By his power the sea grew calm. By his skill he crushed the great sea monster.

By his power he stirred the sea, and by his understanding he crushed Rahab.

He stirs up the sea with His power, And by His understanding He breaks up the storm.

He stirreth up the sea with his power, And by his understanding he smiteth through Rahab.

By His power He stirred the sea, and by His understanding He crushed Rahab.

He divideth the sea with his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through the proud.

By his power he stills the sea; by his wisdom he cut Rahab the great sea monster to pieces.

He stirs up the sea with his power, and by his understanding he strikes through Rahab.

For I am the Lord your God, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar( the Lord of armies is His name).

This is what the Lord says, He who gives the sun for light by day And the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night, Who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar— The Lord of armies is His name:

You rule the surging of the sea; When its waves rise, You calm them.You Yourself crushed Rahab like one who is slain; You scattered Your enemies with Your mighty arm.

Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the Lord; Awake as in the days of old, the generations of long ago. Was it not You who cut Rahab in pieces, Who pierced the dragon?

“ God will not turn back His anger; Beneath Him the helpers of Rahab cower.

The Lord sat as King at the flood; Yes, the Lord sits as King forever.

Judah became His sanctuary; Israel, His dominion.The sea looked and fled; The Jordan turned back.The mountains skipped like rams, The hills, like lambs.What ails you, sea, that you flee? Jordan, that you turn back?Mountains, that you skip like rams? Hills, like lambs?Tremble, earth, before the Lord, Before the God of Jacob,

“ Wisdom and might are with Him; Advice and understanding belong to Him.

The floods have lifted up, Lord, The floods have lifted up their voice, The floods lift up their pounding waves.More than the sounds of many waters, Than the mighty breakers of the sea, The Lord on high is mighty.

But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says,“ God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise, exalt, and honor the King of heaven, for all His works are true and His ways just; and He is able to humble those who walk in pride.”

You divided the sea by Your strength; You broke the heads of the sea monsters in the waters.

Then Moses reached out with his hand over the sea; and the Lord swept the sea back by a strong east wind all night, and turned the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided.So the sons of Israel went through the midst of the sea on the dry land, and the waters were like a wall to them on their right and on their left.Then the Egyptians took up the pursuit, and all Pharaoh’s horses, his chariots, and his horsemen went in after them into the midst of the sea.But at the morning watch, the Lord looked down on the army of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and cloud, and brought the army of the Egyptians into confusion.He caused their chariot wheels to swerve, and He made them drive with difficulty; so the Egyptians each said,“ Let me flee from Israel, for the Lord is fighting for them against the Egyptians.”Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Reach out with your hand over the sea so that the waters may come back over the Egyptians, over their chariots and their horsemen.”So Moses reached out with his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to its normal state at daybreak, while the Egyptians were fleeing right into it; then the Lord overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.The waters returned and covered the chariots and the horsemen, Pharaoh’s entire army that had gone into the sea after them; not even one of them remained.But the sons of Israel walked on dry land through the midst of the sea, and the waters were like a wall to them on their right and on their left.So the Lord saved Israel that day from the hand of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore.When Israel saw the great power which the Lord had used against the Egyptians, the people feared the Lord, and they believed in the Lord and in His servant Moses.

For the Lord of armies will have a day of reckoning Against everyone who is arrogant and haughty, And against everyone who is lifted up, That he may be brought low.

Let out your outbursts of anger, And look at everyone who is arrogant, and humble him.Look at everyone who is arrogant, and humble him, And trample down the wicked where they stand.
