By His power He stirred the sea, and by His understanding He crushed Rahab.

他用他的能力攪動大海；藉着他的靈巧、他把拉哈龍擊傷。

以其能平靜滄海、以其智擊破波濤、

施其大能、海波洶湧、行其大智、洪濤恬靜、

以大能使海洶湧、以智慧擊傷拉哈伯、又作以大能使海恬靜以智慧制伏波濤

By his power he churned up the sea; by his wisdom he cut Rahab to pieces.

With his power he stirred up the oceans. In his wisdom he cut the sea monster Rahab to pieces.

By his power he stilled the sea; by his understanding he shattered Rahab.

By his power the sea grew calm. By his skill he crushed the great sea monster.

By his power he stirred the sea, and by his understanding he crushed Rahab.

With His power He quieted the sea, And by His understanding He shattered Rahab.

He stirs up the sea with His power, And by His understanding He breaks up the storm.

He stirreth up the sea with his power, And by his understanding he smiteth through Rahab.

He divideth the sea with his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through the proud.

By his power he stills the sea; by his wisdom he cut Rahab the great sea monster to pieces.

He stirs up the sea with his power, and by his understanding he strikes through Rahab.

For I am Yahweh your God who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar— His name is Yahweh of Hosts.

This is what the Lord says: The One who gives the sun for light by day, the fixed order of moon and stars for light by night, who stirs up the sea and makes its waves roar— Yahweh of Hosts is His name:

You rule the raging sea; when its waves surge, You still them.You crushed Rahab like one who is slain; You scattered Your enemies with Your powerful arm.

Wake up, wake up! Put on the strength of the Lord’s power. Wake up as in days past, as in generations of long ago. Wasn’t it You who hacked Rahab to pieces, who pierced the sea monster?

God does not hold back His anger; Rahab’s assistants cringe in fear beneath Him!

The Lord sat enthroned at the flood; the Lord sits enthroned, King forever.

Judah became His sanctuary, Israel, His dominion.The sea looked and fled; the Jordan turned back.The mountains skipped like rams, the hills, like lambs.Why was it, sea, that you fled? Jordan, that you turned back?Mountains, that you skipped like rams? Hills, like lambs?Tremble, earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob,

Wisdom and strength belong to God; counsel and understanding are His.

The floods have lifted up, Lord, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their pounding waves.Greater than the roar of many waters— the mighty breakers of the sea— the Lord on high is majestic.

But He gives greater grace. Therefore He says: God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.

Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise, exalt, and glorify the King of heaven, because all His works are true and His ways are just. He is able to humble those who walk in pride.

You divided the sea with Your strength; You smashed the heads of the sea monsters in the waters;

Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea. The Lord drove the sea back with a powerful east wind all that night and turned the sea into dry land. So the waters were divided,and the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with the waters like a wall to them on their right and their left.The Egyptians set out in pursuit— all Pharaoh’s horses, his chariots, and his horsemen— and went into the sea after them.Then during the morning watch, the Lord looked down on the Egyptian forces from the pillar of fire and cloud, and threw them into confusion.He caused their chariot wheels to swerve and made them drive with difficulty.“ Let’s get away from Israel,” the Egyptians said,“ because Yahweh is fighting for them against Egypt!”Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Stretch out your hand over the sea so that the waters may come back on the Egyptians, on their chariots and horsemen.”So Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and at daybreak the sea returned to its normal depth. While the Egyptians were trying to escape from it, the Lord threw them into the sea.The waters came back and covered the chariots and horsemen, the entire army of Pharaoh, that had gone after them into the sea. None of them survived.But the Israelites had walked through the sea on dry ground, with the waters like a wall to them on their right and their left.That day the Lord saved Israel from the power of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore.When Israel saw the great power that the Lord used against the Egyptians, the people feared the Lord and believed in Him and in His servant Moses.

For a day belonging to the Lord of Hosts is coming against all that is proud and lofty, against all that is lifted up— it will be humbled—

Unleash your raging anger; look on every proud person and humiliate him.Look on every proud person and humble him; trample the wicked where they stand.
