我又觀看，看見有一片白雲，雲上坐着一位好像是人子的，頭上戴着金冠冕，手裏拿着鋒利的鐮刀。另有一位天使從聖所出來，向那坐在雲上的大聲喊着：「伸出你的鐮刀來收割吧，因為收割的時候已經到了，地上的莊稼已經熟透了。」於是那坐在雲上的把鐮刀向地上揮去，地上的莊稼就收割了。另有一位天使從天上的聖所出來，他也拿着鋒利的鐮刀。另有一位天使從祭壇出來，是有權柄管火的，向那拿着鋒利鐮刀的大聲喊着說：「伸出鋒利的鐮刀來，收取地上葡萄樹的果子，因為葡萄熟透了。」那天使就把鐮刀向地上揮去，收取了地上的葡萄，扔進上帝憤怒的大醡酒池裏。那醡酒池在城外被踹踏，有血從醡酒池裏流出來，漲到馬的嚼環那麼高，約有一千六百斯他迪那麼遠。

他們轉眼之間成了何等荒涼！他們被驚恐滅盡了。

惡人雖茂盛如草，作惡的人雖全都興旺，他們卻要滅亡，直到永遠。

注意！你們這些富足人哪，要為將要臨到你們身上的災難哭泣、號咷。你們的財物腐爛了，你們的衣服被蟲子蛀了。你們的金銀都生銹了；這銹要證明你們的不是，又要像火一樣吞吃你們的肉。你們在這末世只知道積蓄錢財。

太陽出來，熱風颳起，草就枯乾，花也凋謝，它美麗的樣子就消失了；那富足的人在他一生的奔波中也要這樣衰殘。

我見過惡人大有勢力，高聳如本地青翠的樹木。有人從那裏經過，看哪，他已不存在，我尋找他，卻尋不着了。

恨惡你的要披戴羞愧，惡人的帳棚必歸於無有。」

像人收割成熟的禾稼，用手臂割取麥穗，又像人在利乏音谷拾取穗子；其間所剩不多，好像人打橄欖樹，在最高的樹梢上只剩兩、三顆橄欖，在多結果子的旁枝上只剩四、五顆；這是耶和華－以色列的上帝說的。

惡人歡樂的聲音是暫時的，不敬虔人的喜樂不過是轉眼之間。
