现在斧头已经放在树根上，所有不结好果子的树，就砍下来，丢在火里。

我的皮肉遭受毁坏以后，这事就要发生，我必在肉体以外得见神。

我若对深坑说：‘你是我的父亲’，对虫说：‘你是我的母亲，我的姊妹’，

树木常有希望，树木若被砍下，也会再发芽，嫩枝仍生长不息。虽然树根衰老在地里，树干也枯死在土中，一有水气，就会萌芽，又生长枝条如新栽的树一样。人死了，就化为乌有；人一气绝就不在了。

死去的不能再活，离世的不能再起来，因为你惩罚他们，消灭了他们，使他们完全不再被记念。
