在多民的城内有人唉哼，受伤的人哀号；神却不理会那恶人的愚妄。

在城内垂死的人呻吟，受伤的人哀号；上帝却不理会狂妄的事。

城中传来垂死之人的呻吟，受伤者不断呼救，上帝却置之不理。

有人从城里唉哼，受伤的人呼求，神却不理会恶人的愚妄。

城中居民歎息、被傷者中心悲哀、或作城中將死者歎息被戮者之靈鳴冤乃天主不顧此等罪惡、

The groans of the dying rise from the city, and the souls of the wounded cry out for help. But God charges no one with wrongdoing.

The groans of those who are dying are heard from the city. Those who are wounded cry out for help. But God doesn’t charge anyone with doing what is wrong.

From out of the city the dying groan, and the soul of the wounded cries for help; yet God charges no one with wrong.

From the city, men groan; the mortally wounded cry for help, yet God pays no attention to this crime.

我又看、日光之下所行的一切欺壓：看哪，受欺壓的流淚，無人安慰！欺壓他們的、手裏有勢力，也無人安慰！

你行了這些事，我緘不作聲；你想我和你一樣。其實我要責備你，要將這些事擺在你眼前呢。

現在呢、我在這裏作甚麼？永恆主說：我的人民無緣無故地被擄，轄制他們的大肆咆哮，我的名終日不斷被藐視！

因為你所擊打的、他們就逼迫；你所擊傷的、他們就加上痛苦。

永恆主說：『因困苦人受蹂躪，因貧窮人的哀唉哼，我現在要起來，把他安置於他所切慕的穩妥之地。』

如今我們呢、竟稱傲慢人為有福了！而行惡的人居然得建立了！他們雖試探上帝，卻還得逃脫、免受災難呢！」』

還是你輕看他慈惠寬容與恆忍之豐富，不知道上帝的慈惠正領着你悔改麼？然而你竟依順你的剛愎和不悔改的心、為自己積聚着上帝的義怒、於上帝義怒的日子，就是上帝公義的刑罰顯示出來的日子；

以色列人就從他們中間除掉外族人的神，而事奉永恆主；因以色列人所遭遇的患難，永恆主的心就很着急。

因為這是他惟一的遮蓋物，是他的衣裳，做他皮膚之遮蓋物的；若是沒有，他拿甚麼睡覺呢？將來他向我哀叫，我就應允，因為我是有恩惠的。

若有災禍突然使人死亡，他是調弄無辜人之絕望。

那許多日子當中、埃及王死了。以色列人因作苦工而歎息，就哀呼；他們作苦工的呼救聲上達於上帝。上帝聽見他們的唉哼，就記起他的約來、他同亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各所立的約。

因為我困苦貧窮，我的心內裏傷痛。

你們用你們的話使永恆主厭倦了；你們還說：『我們在甚麼事情上使他厭倦呢？』那就是因為你們說：『凡行壞事的、在永恆主看來都是善，他並且喜愛他們。』或是說：『公義的上帝在哪裏呢？』

壞事的定案不立刻施刑罰，故此人類的心敢於作壞事。好犯罪的人雖百般地作壞事，而延年益壽，但我準知道：敬畏上帝的人終久必得享樂，因為他們在他面前存着敬畏的心；

你們並且要以我們的主的恆忍為得救的機緣；就如我們親愛的弟兄保羅、照所賜給他的智慧、也給你們寫了信了。

埃及人嚴嚴地使以色列人作工：用很難作的苦工：像和灰泥、作磚，作田間各樣的工：就是埃及人嚴嚴叫他們去作的各樣苦工，使他們的生活逕是苦味。
