Why are times not laid up by the Almighty? And why do not they that know him see his days?

“為甚麼全能者不保留賞善罰惡的時間？為甚麼認識他的人不能看見他的日子？

『為甚麼全能者既不將罰惡的日期貯藏着，又不使認識他的人望見那日子呢？

全能者既定鞫期、識之者何不見其日乎、

全能之主、知無不周、既定期罰惡、何不使善者見之。

凡所遇之事、所遇之事原文作時期既不能隱於全能之主、又作全能之主何不備定審鞫之期識主之人、何不得見其降罰之日、

“ Why does the Almighty not set times for judgment? Why must those who know him look in vain for such days?

“ Why doesn’t the Mighty One set a time for judging sinful people? Why do those who know him have to keep waiting for that day?

“ Why are not times of judgment kept by the Almighty, and why do those who know him never see his days?

“ Why doesn’t the Almighty bring the wicked to judgment? Why must the godly wait for him in vain?

Why does the Almighty not reserve times for judgment? Why do those who know him never see his days?

“ Why are times not stored up by the Almighty, And why do those who know Him not see His days?

“ Since times are not hidden from the Almighty, Why do those who know Him see not His days?

Why does the Almighty not reserve times for judgment? Why do those who know Him never see His days?

Why, seeing times are not hidden from the Almighty, do they that know him not see his days?

“ Why are times not appointed by the Almighty? Why do those who know him not see his days?

“ Why aren’t times laid up by the Almighty? Why don’t those who know him see his days?

And he said unto them, It is not for you to know times or seasons, which the Father hath set within his own authority.

I said in my heart, God will judge the righteous and the wicked; for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.

for to every purpose there is a time and judgment; because the misery of man is great upon him:for he knoweth not that which shall be; for who can tell him how it shall be?

but the heavens that now are, and the earth, by the same word have been stored up for fire, being reserved against the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.But forget not this one thing, beloved, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare, even so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them.

And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee; For thou, Jehovah, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

For these are days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.Woe unto them that are with child and to them that give suck in those days! for there shall be great distress upon the land, and wrath unto this people.And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led captive into all the nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

Oh continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee, And thy righteousness to the upright in heart.

but after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up for thyself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

Righteous art thou, O Jehovah, when I contend with thee; yet would I reason the cause with thee: wherefore doth the way of the wicked prosper? wherefore are all they at ease that deal very treacherously?Thou hast planted them, yea, they have taken root; they grow, yea, they bring forth fruit: thou art near in their mouth, and far from their heart.But thou, O Jehovah, knowest me; thou seest me, and triest my heart toward thee: pull them out like sheep for the slaughter, and prepare them for the day of slaughter.

But the Spirit saith expressly, that in later times some shall fall away from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons,

And Jehovah said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know.

And Jehovah said, Shall I hide from Abraham that which I do;

For that day is a day of the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, a day of vengeance, that he may avenge him of his adversaries: and the sword shall devour and be satiate, and shall drink its fill of their blood; for the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, hath a sacrifice in the north country by the river Euphrates.

and he made of one every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed seasons, and the bounds of their habitation;

For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living thing that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the ground.

And he changeth the times and the seasons; he removeth kings, and setteth up kings; he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that have understanding;

The little one shall become a thousand, and the small one a strong nation; I, Jehovah, will hasten it in its time.

My times are in thy hand: Deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.

When I thought how I might know this, It was too painful for me;Until I went into the sanctuary of God, And considered their latter end.Surely thou settest them in slippery places: Thou castest them down to destruction.How are they become a desolation in a moment! They are utterly consumed with terrors.

For there shall be a day of Jehovah of hosts upon all that is proud and haughty, and upon all that is lifted up; and it shall be brought low;

which in its own times he shall show, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;

But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that aught be written unto you.

For as in those days which were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,

And this is life eternal, that they should know thee the only true God, and him whom thou didst send, even Jesus Christ.

And in covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose sentence now from of old lingereth not, and their destruction slumbereth not.
