“ Look, I go forward, but He is not there, And backward, but I cannot perceive Him;

“只是，我往前行，他不在那里，往后退，也不能见他。

“看哪，我往前走，他不在那里；往后退，也没有察觉他。

“看哪，我往前走，他不在那里；往后退，也没有察觉他。

“然而，我去东边，祂不在那里；我到西边，也找不到祂。

可是我往前走，他不在那里；我若往后退，我也不能见他。

只是，我往前行，他不在那裏，往後退，也不能見他。

「看哪，我往前走，他不在那裏；往後退，也沒有察覺他。

「看哪，我往前走，他不在那裏；往後退，也沒有察覺他。

「然而，我去東邊，祂不在那裡；我到西邊，也找不到祂。

可是我往前走，他不在那裡；我若往後退，我也不能見他。

『啊，我往東行，他不在那裏；往西邊呢，我也不能見他；

我行於前、彼不在焉、我退於後、亦不見之、

乃趨之於前、而彼不見、索之於後、而彼不在、

乃我往東主不在焉、往西不見之、

“ But if I go to the east, he is not there; if I go to the west, I do not find him.

“ But if I go to the east, God isn’t there. If I go to the west, I don’t find him.

“ Behold, I go forward, but he is not there, and backward, but I do not perceive him;

I go east, but he is not there. I go west, but I cannot find him.

If I go east, he is not there, and if I go west, I cannot perceive him.

“ Behold, I go forward but He is not there, And backward, but I cannot perceive Him;

Behold, I go forward, but he is not there; And backward, but I cannot perceive him;

If I go east, He is not there, and if I go west, I cannot perceive Him.

Behold, I go forward, but he[ is] not[ there]; and backward, but I cannot perceive him:

“ If I go to the east, he is not there, and to the west, yet I do not perceive him.

“ If I go east, he is not there; if west, I can’t find him;

Although you say you do not see Him, Yet justice is before Him, and you must wait for Him.

If He goes by me, I do not see Him; If He moves past, I do not perceive Him;

who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen.

Why do You stand afar off, O Lord? Why do You hide in times of trouble?

Truly You are God, who hide Yourself, O God of Israel, the Savior!

How long, O Lord? Will You forget me forever? How long will You hide Your face from me?How long shall I take counsel in my soul, Having sorrow in my heart daily? How long will my enemy be exalted over me?Consider and hear me, O Lord my God; Enlighten my eyes, Lest I sleep the sleep of death;
