For this is our confidence: The testimony of our conscience is that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially toward you, with God-given sincerity and purity, not by fleshly wisdom but by God’s grace.

The words of his mouth are malicious and deceptive; he has stopped acting wisely and doing good.

I will return it to you.”“ You haven’t wronged us, you haven’t mistreated us, and you haven’t taken anything from anyone’s hand,” they responded.He said to them,“ The Lord is a witness against you, and His anointed is a witness today that you haven’t found anything in my hand.”“ He is a witness,” they said.

And the seed on the rock are those who, when they hear, welcome the word with joy. Having no root, these believe for a while and depart in a time of testing.As for the seed that fell among thorns, these are the ones who, when they have heard, go on their way and are choked with worries, riches, and pleasures of life, and produce no mature fruit.But the seed in the good ground— these are the ones who, having heard the word with an honest and good heart, hold on to it and by enduring, bear fruit.

I have not coveted anyone’s silver or gold or clothing.You yourselves know that these hands have provided for my needs and for those who were with me.

You are witnesses, and so is God, of how devoutly, righteously, and blamelessly we conducted ourselves with you believers.
