When they cast down, you will say,‘ be lifted up.’ He will save the humble person.

人使你降卑，你仍可说：必得高升；谦卑的人，神必然拯救。

当人降卑，你说：是因骄傲；眼目谦卑的人，上帝必然拯救。

当人降卑，你说：是因骄傲；眼目谦卑的人，神必然拯救。

人遭贬抑时，你说，‘使他们升高吧。’上帝就会拯救他们，

人谦卑的时候，你就说：‘升高吧！’眼中谦卑的他必拯救，

When people are brought low and you say,‘ Lift them up!’ then he will save the downcast.

When people are brought low you will say,‘ Lift them up!’ Then God will help them.

For when they are humbled you say,‘ It is because of pride’; but he saves the lowly.

If people are in trouble and you say,‘ Help them,’ God will save them.

When others are humiliated and you say,“ Lift them up,” God will save the humble.

When they have brought you low, you will speak with confidence, And He will save the humble person.

When they cast you down, and you say,‘ Exaltation will come!’ Then He will save the humble person.

When they cast thee down, thou shalt say, There is lifting up; And the humble person he will save.

When others are humiliated and you say,“ Lift them up,” God will save the humble.

When[ men] are cast down, then thou shalt say,[ There is] lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.

When people are brought low and you say‘ Lift them up!’ then he will save the downcast;

Likewise, you younger ones, be subject to the elder. Yes, all of you clothe yourselves with humility, to subject yourselves to one another; for“ God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

But he gives more grace. Therefore it says,“ God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.

He has put down princes from their thrones. And has exalted the lowly.

He will deliver you in six troubles; yes, in seven no evil will touch you.In famine he will redeem you from death; in war, from the power of the sword.You will be hidden from the scourge of the tongue, neither will you be afraid of destruction when it comes.You will laugh at destruction and famine, neither will you be afraid of the animals of the earth.For you will be allied with the stones of the field. The animals of the field will be at peace with you.You will know that your tent is in peace. You will visit your fold, and will miss nothing.You will know also that your offspring will be great, Your offspring as the grass of the earth.You will come to your grave in a full age, like a shock of grain comes in its season.Look at this. We have searched it. It is so. Hear it, and know it for your good.”

A man’s pride brings him low, but one of lowly spirit gains honor.

For though Yahweh is high, yet he looks after the lowly; but he knows the proud from afar.

For my hand has made all these things, and so all these things came to be,” says Yahweh:“ but I will look to this man, even to he who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at my word.

the Lord Yahweh says:“ Remove the turban, and take off the crown. This will not be as it was. Exalt that which is low, and humble that which is high.I will overturn, overturn, overturn it. This also will be no more, until he comes whose right it is; and I will give it.”’

He spoke also this parable to certain people who were convinced of their own righteousness, and who despised all others.“ Two men went up into the temple to pray; one was a Pharisee, and the other was a tax collector.The Pharisee stood and prayed to himself like this:‘ God, I thank you that I am not like the rest of men, extortionists, unrighteous, adulterers, or even like this tax collector.I fast twice a week. I give tithes of all that I get.’But the tax collector, standing far away, wouldn’t even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying,‘ God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

“ Because he has set his love on me, therefore I will deliver him. I will set him on high, because he has known my name.He will call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him, and honor him.I will satisfy him with long life, and show him my salvation.”

For, behold, your enemies, Yahweh, for, behold, your enemies shall perish. All the evildoers will be scattered.But you have exalted my horn like that of the wild ox. I am anointed with fresh oil.My eye has also seen my enemies. My ears have heard of the wicked enemies who rise up against me.

For the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy, says:“ I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also who is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite.

I will be glad and rejoice in you. I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.When my enemies turn back, they stumble and perish in your presence.

For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.”
