When they cast thee down, thou shalt say, There is lifting up; And the humble person he will save.

人使你降卑，你仍可说：必得高升；谦卑的人，神必然拯救。

当人降卑，你说：是因骄傲；眼目谦卑的人，上帝必然拯救。

人遭贬抑时，你说，‘使他们升高吧。’上帝就会拯救他们，

人谦卑的时候，你就说：‘升高吧！’眼中谦卑的他必拯救，

When people are brought low and you say,‘ Lift them up!’ then he will save the downcast.

When people are brought low you will say,‘ Lift them up!’ Then God will help them.

For when they are humbled you say,‘ It is because of pride’; but he saves the lowly.

If people are in trouble and you say,‘ Help them,’ God will save them.

When others are humiliated and you say,“ Lift them up,” God will save the humble.

When they have brought you low, you will speak with confidence, And He will save the humble person.

When they cast you down, and you say,‘ Exaltation will come!’ Then He will save the humble person.

When others are humiliated and you say,“ Lift them up,” God will save the humble.

When[ men] are cast down, then thou shalt say,[ There is] lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.

Likewise, ye younger, be subject unto the elder. Yea, all of you gird yourselves with humility, to serve one another: for God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace to the humble.

But he giveth more grace. Wherefore the scripture saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace to the humble.

And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be humbled; and whosoever shall humble himself shall be exalted.

He hath put down princes from their thrones, And hath exalted them of low degree.

A man’s pride shall bring him low; But he that is of a lowly spirit shall obtain honor.

For though Jehovah is high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly; But the haughty he knoweth from afar.

For all these things hath my hand made, and so all these things came to be, saith Jehovah: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and that trembleth at my word.

thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Remove the mitre, and take off the crown; this shall be no more the same; exalt that which is low, and abase that which is high.I will overturn, overturn, overturn it: this also shall be no more, until he come whose right it is; and I will give it him.

And he spake also this parable unto certain who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and set all others at nought:Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as the rest of men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.I fast twice in the week; I give tithes of all that I get.But the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote his breast, saying, God, be thou merciful to me a sinner.I say unto you, This man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be humbled; but he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.He shall call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble: I will deliver him, and honor him.With long life will I satisfy him, And show him my salvation.

For, lo, thine enemies, O Jehovah, For, lo, thine enemies shall perish; All the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.But my horn hast thou exalted like the horn of the wild- ox: I am anointed with fresh oil.Mine eye also hath seen my desire on mine enemies, Mine ears have heard my desire of the evil- doers that rise up against me.

For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite.

I will be glad and exult in thee; I will sing praise to thy name, O thou Most High.When mine enemies turn back, They stumble and perish at thy presence.

For every one that exalteth himself shall be humbled; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
