If you return to the Almighty, you will be restored: If you remove wickedness far from your tent

If you return to the Mighty One, you will have what you had before. But first you must remove everything that is evil far from your tent.

If you return to the Almighty you will be built up; if you remove injustice far from your tents,

If you return to the Almighty, you will be renewed. If you banish injustice from your tent

If you return to the Almighty, you will be restored; If you remove injustice far from your tent,

If you return to the Almighty, you will be built up; You will remove iniquity far from your tents.

If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, If thou put away unrighteousness far from thy tents.

Therefore, say to the people,‘ This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: Return to me, and I will return to you, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.’

“ If only you would prepare your heart and lift up your hands to him in prayer!Get rid of your sins, and leave all iniquity behind you.

But if you pray to God and seek the favor of the Almighty,and if you are pure and live with integrity, he will surely rise up and restore your happy home.

Seek the Lord while you can find him. Call on him now while he is near.Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong. Let them turn to the Lord that he may have mercy on them. Yes, turn to our God, for he will forgive generously.

Return, O Israel, to the Lord your God, for your sins have brought you down.Bring your confessions, and return to the Lord. Say to him,“ Forgive all our sins and graciously receive us, so that we may offer you our praises.

I will rebuild you, my virgin Israel. You will again be happy and dance merrily with your tambourines.

Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.

What he destroys cannot be rebuilt. When he puts someone in prison, there is no escape.

But God’s truth stands firm like a foundation stone with this inscription:“ The Lord knows those who are his,” and“ All who belong to the Lord must turn away from evil.”

Then he said to me,“ This scroll contains the curse that is going out over the entire land. One side of the scroll says that those who steal will be banished from the land; the other side says that those who swear falsely will be banished from the land.And this is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: I am sending this curse into the house of every thief and into the house of everyone who swears falsely using my name. And my curse will remain in that house and completely destroy it— even its timbers and stones.”

The Lord will strike Egypt, and then he will bring healing. For the Egyptians will turn to the Lord, and he will listen to their pleas and heal them.

The homes of the wicked will burn down; burning sulfur rains on their houses.

But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit,

I preached first to those in Damascus, then in Jerusalem and throughout all Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that all must repent of their sins and turn to God— and prove they have changed by the good things they do.

Though you are such wicked rebels, my people, come and return to the Lord.

“ Get up! Command the people to purify themselves in preparation for tomorrow. For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: Hidden among you, O Israel, are things set apart for the Lord. You will never defeat your enemies until you remove these things from among you.“ In the morning you must present yourselves by tribes, and the Lord will point out the tribe to which the guilty man belongs. That tribe must come forward with its clans, and the Lord will point out the guilty clan. That clan will then come forward, and the Lord will point out the guilty family. Finally, each member of the guilty family must come forward one by one.The one who has stolen what was set apart for destruction will himself be burned with fire, along with everything he has, for he has broken the covenant of the Lord and has done a horrible thing in Israel.”Early the next morning Joshua brought the tribes of Israel before the Lord, and the tribe of Judah was singled out.

Those who are honest and fair, who refuse to profit by fraud, who stay far away from bribes, who refuse to listen to those who plot murder, who shut their eyes to all enticement to do wrong—
