Who is the Almighty, that we should serve him? What would we gain by praying to him?’

Should I accept this from your hand?” Says the Lord.“ But cursed be the deceiver Who has in his flock a male, And takes a vow, But sacrifices to the Lord what is blemished— For I am a great King,” Says the Lord of hosts,“ And My name is to be feared among the nations.

Lest I be full and deny You, And say,“ Who is the Lord?” Or lest I be poor and steal, And profane the name of my God.

When they had pasture, they were filled; They were filled and their heart was exalted; Therefore they forgot Me.

For you say,‘ What advantage will it be to You? What profit shall I have, more than if I had sinned?’

Who have said,“ With our tongue we will prevail; Our lips are our own; Who is Lord over us?”

Get out of the way, Turn aside from the path, Cause the Holy One of Israel To cease from before us.”

“ Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

I have not spoken in secret, In a dark place of the earth; I did not say to the seed of Jacob,‘ Seek Me in vain’; I, the Lord, speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.

Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.
